With the world eagerly awaiting Floyd Mayweather v Manny Pacquiao it was announced on Tuesday who the third man in the ring will be on May 2nd.

There had been speculation that it would be either Kenny Bayless or Tony Weeks and it has now been confirmed that Bayless will be the man in charge of boxing's biggest names.

Bayless who hails from Nevada, USA has plenty of experience in super fights having taken charge of some of the biggest bouts over the last decade. He also knows both fighters well having refereed in more than ten fights involving Mayweather or Pacquiao

Bayless took charge of Mayweather's fights with Oscar de la Hoya (2007), Shane Mosley (2010), Saul Alvarez (2013) and Marcos Maidana II (2014). Pacquiao's fights with Erik Morales II (2006), Juan Manuel Marquez II (2008), Ricky Hatton (2009), Miguel Cotto (2009), Shane Mosley (2011), Juan Manuel Marquez IV (2012) and Timothy Bradley Jr (2014) were also handled by Bayless so there will certainly be an air of familiarity in the ring come May 2nd.

The judges have also confirmed for what is expected to be the highest grossing fight of all time. Burt Clements, Dave Moretti and Glenn Feldman are the men who could make one of the most important decisions in boxing history. Clements and Moretti are both from Nevada and have been judges on seventeen Floyd or Manny fights between them. Feldman hasn't got the same experience and has only judged one Mayweather fight and none of Pacquiao's.

The four men are expected to earn somewhere in the region of $20,000 for their nights work which will be a small fraction of the money Mayweather and Pacquiao will receive but then again the fans aren't paying the high pay per view prices to watch the referee and judges.
