He is a living boxing legend and a sure shot for the Hall of Fame in the very near future. Bernard Hopkins, formerly known as "The Executioner", and is now known as "The Alien" due to his out of this world performances in the ring at the ripe age of 50! Whereby most boxers are firmly retired, In a week where Oscar De La Hoya was talking up coming out of retirement to fight Gennady Golovkin then backtracking on that talk, Bernard Hopkins has no intention of retiring yet.

What Hopkins had to say:

"Unlike my business partner Oscar De La Hoya I'll be confirming that I'm not retired, I'm looking to make one more historical, meaningful fight before I close out my 27 year career."

"Stay tuned, It will be against a well known name. I'm looking to get a stamp of approval on my legacy, From the beginning to the end." He told FOX Sports

Should he fight once more?

If there is one thing that Bernard Hopkins has shown us all in his glittering career, It's that he is only getting better as he matures. In the last 10 years Hopkins has fought some boxing's top quality opposition and became the oldest boxing World Champion in history by beating Jean Pascal back in May 2011.

Ultimately Bernard Hopkins knows he cannot outlast father time, no matter how hard he may try and after a 12-round beating he took at the hands of Sergey Kovalev in his last fight. He knows that it's time to end it all on a high and who can blame him? The living legend deserves to end it his way and this writer bets the fans can't wait to see how "The Alien" goes out of this world just one more time.
