This is a story you will probably never hear anytime soon. The Lynchburg Hillcats threw back-to-back combined no hitters against the same team. The opposing team to get no hit in back-to-back nights were the Wilmington Blue Rocks. The Blue Rocks were hold hitless for 20 straight innings.

In the first combined no hitter starter Lucas Sims went 7 innings, walking only 4 and struck out 6 batters. The final two innings of the combined no hitter were pitched by Alex Wilson.

In the second combined no hitter the starter was Cody Scarpetta who went 7 striking out 7 and walking just one. Benino Pruneda came in to pitch the final two innings just as Alex Wilson did the previous night.

Tyler Tewell was behind the plate for both no hitters. Being behind the plate for two no hitters in back-to-back nights will for sure put Tewell into the record books as it seems like that's never been done before or one would think that since a no hitter by itself is insanely rare.

Throwing two no hitters in back-to-back nights will push Lynchburg Hillcats a little further as they look to win the second half championship and represent their home club, the Atlanta Braves very well.
