The Diamondbacks went into Saturday evenings game against the Dodgers trying to win their second straight game, and hopefully start a long winning streak. Unfortunately, the D-backs couldn't hold onto a four run lead following the third inning.

The Diamondbacks scored four runs in the third inning against Dodger starter Dan Haren. Luckily for Haren, only one would be earned as Hanley Ramirez would committ an error that allowed Mark Trumbo to score, and Gerardo Parra to reach first safely. Afterwards, Paul Goldschmidt would hit a RBI single and Miguel Montero would follow with a RBI double. Mike Bolsinger was impressive his first time through the Dodgers lineup, but the second time through wasn't as pretty.

Mike Bolsinger found trouble in the bottom of the fourth inning as Andre Ethier hit a no doubt three run home run into the right field bleachers. He would get out of the inning with the lead, but the fifth inning would be disasterous. After the Dodgers hit three straight singles, Dan Haren would score on a Martin Prado fielding error to end Bolsinger's outing. Oliver Perez would come in to the game, and allow four runs to score off two run singles from Adrian Gonzalez and Matt Kemp. Mike Bolsinger would finish his first major league start pitching four innings giving up seven hits and six earned runs, while striking out five. His counterpart, Dan Haren would get his second win against the D-backs this season pitching 7 1/3 innings, allowing seven hits and two earned runs, also striking out five.

The D-backs would make it a two run ballgame in the top of the eighth after Martin Prado hit a two run double off Dodger reliever Brian Wilson, scoring Goldschmidt and Montero. But they would be unable to add anything else, as Dodger closer Kenley Jansen would get his sixth save on the season.

The Arizona Diamondbacks and Los Angeles Dodgers conclude their three game series on Easter Sunday in a matinee game. The D-backs will try to win the series with Josh Collmenter making his second start of the season, after a short outing against the Mets on Monday. Los Angeles will do the same sending Josh Beckett to the bump.

Notes: Trevor Cahill came in to pitch three flawless innings of relief for the D-backs after recording the save in Satrudays game.
