FINAL:  The St. Louis Cardinals defeat the New York Mets 2-0 behind some real good pitching on both sides.  In the end for the Mets, it was too much Adam Wainwright as they couldn't capitalize on the few opportunities he allowed.  So far each team can only score two run against each other.  It has been a well played series so far and things  shouldn't change all that much for the remainder.  The Mets fall back to .500, as the Cardinals inch closer to the top of the National League Central.

Top 4 3 out: Dillon Gee limits the damage by striking out Matt Carpenter to end the inning.

Top 4 2 out: Wainwright grounds the ball to third and David Wright throws home for the second out.  There was a little issue on the play as Jon Jay took out d'Arnaud out on his slide which prevented him from throwing to first to double-up Wainwright.  Terry Collins  came out for a discussion but then went back into the dugout.

Top 4 1 out: Kolten Wong hits a slow ground ball to first and Lucas Duda had time and threw home for the force.  Bases are still loaded but now there is an out.

Top 2, 3 out: Jhonny Peralta lines out to left to end the inning.  We may have a little pitching duel when this is all said and done.

Top 2, 2 out: Jon Jay hits a ball to short and reaches base safely due to a bobble by Omar Quintanilla.  Chalk that one up to the weather as I think Jay would have been gunned down.
