After another win last night against the Blue Jays, the Houston Astros were back at it Sunday afternoon for the series finale.

On the mound for the Blue Jays was rookie Marcus Stroman. Stroman coming into this game, was 7-2 and looked very good coming into this game. As the game progressed however, he didn't look like he was going to get his 8th win on the season. After the Blue Jays took an early 1-0 lead in the second inning, their lead wasn't safe for too long. In the bottom of the third, Chris Carter came through with a big two out, two-run single that gave the Astros a 2-1 lead. In the bottom of the fourth inning, the Astros' offense rose to the occasion once again to bolster the lead. Numerous base hits led to easy offense. Following Matt Dominguez and Jake Marisnick's RBI singles, the Astros had a 4-1 lead. Marcus Stroman was done for the day, but he still had runners on base that he is responsible for. Later on in the inning, Todd Redmond walked Robbie Grossman with the bases loaded to give the Astros a 5-1 lead. After that, the Blue Jays didn't let the game get too out of hand. The Astros did put up one more run on the board with a sacrifice fly by Matt Dominguez in the bottom of the 5th to give the Astros a 6-1 lead. Stroman's final line was 3 innings, giving up 5 runs on 7 hits. Todd Redmond was responsible for the other run.

Taking the hill for the Astros was veteran right-hander, Scott Feldman. Feldman, who was 4-8 on the season, is really in need of a win. His last start was good, but the bullpen had failed to hold the lead. Today, he didn't have to worry about the relief pitchers to hold the lead. From the start, Feldman seemed to look in trouble. If it weren't for key double plays, this game could have gotten away from him. Throughout the game, he had settled in, and was cruising along. Between the 5th and 7th inning, Feldman had retired 9 straight, while keeping his pitch count low. The Blue Jays had a bunch of base hits early on in the game, but could not continue late in the game. With the Astros' offense at it again today, and Feldman in a groove, the Jays had a hard time making things happen. Scott Feldman pitched his first complete game as a member of the Houston Astros. Feldman allowed one run on eight hits. Although he only struck out two batters, he had a ton of groundouts that were key.

The Astros will now have a day off tomorrow, as they get ready to travel to Philadelphia for three games against the Phillies starting on Tuesday.
