After Tuesday night's marathon, the Houston Astros were back at it again for Game Two of this three-game series on Wednesday night.

On the mound for the Phillies, was young right-hander David Buchanan. Coming into Wednesday's game, Buchanan was 5-5. After spending time between the Phillies and their Triple-A team, he was given the oppurtunity to pitch in the Majors again. He took complete advantage of it.

The Astros could not get much going. Although they managed nine hits off of Buchanan, they could not bring home the majority of the base runners that they had got. From the start, it did not look promising for Buchanan. Following a few base hits, Jonathan Singleton grounded into a force out that scored Jose Altuve to give the Astros an early 1-0 lead. After that, he settled down for a while, and let his offense do the work. David Buchanan lasted 6 1/3 innings, giving up three runs on nine hits, and eventually earning himself a win.

Pitching for the Astros was right-hander Brad Peacock. Peacock was 3-7 coming into Wednesday's game, and it has been one frustrating season for him. After trading Jarred Cosart to the Miami Marlins, the Astros had an opening in the starting rotation. Peacock, having bounced between the Majors and the minors, got the call to start Wednesday night's game. In the first inning, it did not look good at all. The Phillies' offense was on fire. Whether it was just simple base hits, or drawing walks, the Phillies were getting on base, and eventually coming around to score. Ryan Howard, the hero of Tuesday night's game, was back at it Wednesday with a 2-run single in the first inning. After the first inning, the Phillies led 5-1, but weren't done for the night. In the bottom of the fourth inning, Chase Utley launched a 3-run home run to right field that gave the Phillies an 8-2 lead. Brad Peacock could not settle down and get into a groove. Peacock allowed eight runs on seven hits while walking four. Darin Downs came in for an inning and got the job done, and Mike Foltynewicz came on to get in some work as well. The Phillies added two more runs, and that ended up being the final score. The Phillies won 10-3.
