The Kansas City Royals came to Chase Field and conquered the Arizona Diamondbacks, finishing off the three game sweep of the D-backs with a 6-2 win Thursday night.

Vidal Nuno struggled against the hot Royals offense, giving up five earned runs in just four innings. The D-backs have had a very short leash with Nuno, who only threw 57 pitches. Alex Gordon hit a two run homer in the second inning, Salvador Perez hit a two run single in the third, and Alcides Escobar hit a RBI single in the fourth inning to cap the scoring off Nuno.

The D-backs got two runs off Jeremy Guthrie but it didn't phase him a bit, as he earned the complete game. Mark Trumbo had a sacrifice fly in the first and Jake Lamb hit a RBI single for his first career hit and RBI in the third inning. Lamb was called up on Thursday, a move that got Andy Marte designated for assignment.

The D-backs will look to earn some wins against the only team worse than them in the National League, the Colorado Rockies. Chase Anderson will take the mound, looking to beat rookie Tyler Matzek and the Rockies on Friday.
