The San Francisco Giants took a 3-2 World Series lead after a 5-0 win over the Kansas City Royals Sunday night at AT&T Park in San Francisco, California.

Madison Bumgarner pitched a fantastic complete game shutout for San Francisco, pitching eight innings, striking out eight, and allowing just four hits and zero runs. The 25-year old lefty now has a brilliant 0.29 ERA in his World Series career, lowest in MLB history (minimum 25 innings).

It was the first complete game shutout in the World Series since Josh Beckett in 2003 when the Florida Marlins closed out the New York Yankees to win their first World Series in franchise history.

Hunter Pence scored the first run of the game in the bottom of the second on a RBI groundout by Brandon Crawford. Pablo Sandoval then scored on a single by Crawford with two outs in the bottom of the fourth inning to give his Giants a 2-0 lead.

Pinch hitter Juan Perez cranked a triple off the center field wall in the bottom of the eighth, driving in two insurance runs. Brandon Crawford then drove in Perez on a bloop single during the next at-bat to make it 5-0 Giants.

Hunter Pence and Pablo Sandoval each picked up two hits for the Giants, and they're hitting .474 and .364 in the World Series respectively. Brandon Crawford also hat two hits and drove in three of the games five runs.

Due to Bumgarner's masterful performance, Kansas City struggled to get much going offensively throughout the duration of the game. The Royals finished with just 4 hits.

San Francisco can clinch their third World Series Title in the last five years with a win over Kansas City on Tuesday in Game Six. The game will be hosted in K.C. and starts at 8:07 PM ET.
