The Detroit Tigers signed three players to Minor-League contracts on Friday in order to bolster the organization's bullpen and outfield. They signed right-handed pitchers Ryan Perry and Ross Seaton and outfielder, first baseman, and third baseman Bobby Borchering. The three deals were reported by Matt Eddy of Baseball America

Perry was a first round pick by the Tigers and was with them from 2009-2011. He pitched just seven games in 2012 with the Washington Nationals. Perry has compiled a 6.50 ERA over the last two seasons in the Minors. The 28-year-old still has some skill inside him; maybe a change in scenery is what he needs.

Seaton, 25, was a highly-pursued prospect in recent years, but, lately, it has been all downhill. He has posted a career 5.01 ERA with 499 strikeouts over 784 innings. Seaton has not yet played in the Majors.

Borchering can play three different positions: first base, third base, and outfield. He was a former first-round pick in 2009 by the Arizona Diamondbacks. He has a career line of .250/.322/.432 with only 589 strikeouts over 516 MiLB games.
