Detroit Tigers super-slugger Miguel Cabrera is running on a treadmill at 65 percent of his body weight, according to Chris Iott of MLive.com. Cabrera has also been able to run at an incline without feeling any pain in his right foot that needed surgery; it has been repaired.

Last October, Cabrera had a procedure done to remove bone spurs from his right ankle, which was giving him a ton of issues throughout the 2014 season. He also had a stress fracture in his foot repaired.

Cabrera hit .313/.371/.524 with 25 home runs and 109 RBI's during the 2014 season. He played 159 games and took 611 at-bats. The 31-year-old had a down season compared to his last few. However, it is nearly impossible to beat out back-to-back American League MVP seasons.

The 6-foot-4, 240 pound Triple-Crown winner is hoping to be ready for Opening Day, but it is not yet known if he will actually be able to achieve that feat. It is all up in the air right now, but we know Cabrera is better than before and will continue to improve.
