Unfortunately, injuries are part of all sports, including Major League Baseball. Here are some of the the latest injury updates for March 4, courtesy of NBC Sports' RotoWorld.

Arizona Diamondbacks:

Left fielder David Peralta was taken out of the Diamondbacks' Spring Training exhibition against the Colorado Rockies after being hit by a pitch. Updates following the game revealed that Peralta seems to be fine.

Atlanta Braves:

Starting pitcher Mike Minor has been scratched from his start this upcoming Sunday due to shoulder soreness in his left shoulder. The 27-year-old lefthander dealt with shoulder issues in 2014 as well. 

Boston Red Sox:

Outfielder Rusney Castillo may miss anywhere a week or even much longer thanks to a strained oblique. CSN New England correspondant Sean McAdam reported that Castillo could potentially not be ready to go by Opening Day. 

Kansas City Royals:

Royals reliever Tim Collins exited his Spring Training debut on Wednesday with what reporter Andy McCullough described as tightness and sorness in his left elbow. 

Detroit Tigers:

Reliever Joel Hanrahan will undergo a second Tommy John surgery. He also has also been released by the organization. 

Pittsburgh Pirates:

SP Brandon Cumpton will be visiting Dr. James Andrews in the upcoming week regarding a potential elbow injury. 

 

Seattle Mariners:

Ji-Man Choi suffered a fractured right fibula during the Mariners' Spring Training game aginst the San Diego Padres Wednesday and will be out indefinetely.
