The Giants did their best comeback kid impressions on Thursday night but it ultimately led to a loss. This makes the loss streak now to seven games that the Giants are on.

Prior to the game it looked as if Bumgarner was ready to change this losing streak. Often times in the past he had come out pitching stellar and would set the Giants back on the right note. Tonight he pitched adequately. Bumgarner lasted 7 innings giving up 4 runs.

The Giants jumped on the board early when Posey hit an RBI single in the first that scored Blanco. Trumbo would come back to tie it in the second inning with a home run.

The trouble Bumgarner had came in the 5th inning when Goldschmidt hit a three-run shot to put the Diamondbacks up 4-1. The Giants started their comeback when Crawford hit a two-run shot.

Joe Panik came up in the bottom of the 9th and would hit a triple that scored Posey. This would tie the game and it looked like the Giants could finish it but they end up not getting the next hit to close it up.

The Same thing happened in the 10th inning. Pollock hit a home run to put the D-Backs up 5-4, and the Giants would come back and tie it after Duffy hit an infield single that scored Blanco. The Giants couldn't finish it there either with the bases loaded.

Neither team scored in the 11th inning but in the 12th the D-Backs took a commanding lead after a double by Hill that scored two. This put the D-Backs up 7-5 and the Giants now have to dig out of a 2-run deficit.

Pagan got on base in the bottom of the 12th. Posey hit a deep shot but it would get caught in left-center. With Belt up, he hits a ground ball that Pagan gets out at second but Belt beats out the throw to first to stop the double play. Now with two outs remaining, Duffy comes up to the plate and hits a double to left-center that scores Belt! Duffy now became the winning run.

Panik, who earlier hit a game-tying triple, got behind in the count 0-2 and eventually would hit a line drive that Delgado caught. Ball game.

Archie Bradley pitched 6.2 innings allowing 2 runs, but Delgado would eventually get the win.

This has got to be depressing for the Giants, as they had multiple chances to close this game out. Now with the losing streak at 7 games, it's a hole that the Giants are having to dig themselves out of really early on in the season.
