The Los Angeles Angels (13-15) and Seattle Mariners (11-17) finished up their three game series in Anaheim, CA with the Angels nabbing the rubber match over the Mariners 4-3.

The Angels were once again led by who else but the reigning AL MVP himself, Mike Trout. As part of the three run third inning for the Angels, Trout hit a two-run home run on a line and DEEP to straight away center field. Trout finished the night 1 for 4 with those 2 RBI. LAA got their other run in the third on an RBI double by Kole Calhoun scoring Johnny Giavotella from third. Erick Aybar also checked in with two hits on night.

Kyle Seager was the lone bright spot for Seattle as he ripped a two-run home run to right to cut the lead to 3-2 in the fourth and finished 2 for 4. Nelson Cruz and Mike Zunino also had two base knocks on the night.

For the Mariners, lefty Roenis Elias toed the slab and turned in a solid performance giving up just three runs on six hits in seven innings of work and also tallied five Ks.

CJ Wilson got the start for the Angels and once again turned in a good performance against a Mariners team he has a lot of success against. Wilson went seven innings giving up two runs on seven hits while striking out four.

It wasn't smooth sailing from there however as the usually reliable closer Huston Street blew his first save of the season giving up a leadoff double to Kyle Seager who later scored on a sac fly by pinch hitter Dustin Ackley to tie the game at three.

But, in the ninth inning, the Mariners bullpen did it again and couldn't hold the lead as the Angels walked off Seattle for the second straight night. Aybar was stealing on the pitch from first base and Giavotella ripped one into the corner and the speedy Angels shortstop scored easily to win the game.

For the Mariners, this is their second straight walk off loss and their Major League leading fifth on the short season so far. They are in the cellar of the AL West and after losing their sixth game out of seven, they are looking for answers as the return to Seattle on Friday for a series against the A's.

The Angels on the other hand could finally be breaking out of their early season funk. They righted the ship by winning this series against Seattle after getting swept by the Giants last weekend. They stay home for the weekend for a four game series against the AL West leading Astros.
