The Chicago White Sox have had a very odd start to their season so far this year. Just within the last few weeks they had the fight against the Kansas City Royals, missed a few days because of rain, missed a few games in Baltimore and then played a game with no one in the seats that will be remembered for quite some time. They certainly have struggled as they have gone 12-17 and just 2-12 on the road as they headed into Miller Park desperate to turn things around on the road.

The best thing for them though was that Chris Sale was just getting back from his suspension as he was involved in that fight against Kansas City. He is their ace and they need him to pitch as many games as possible. Sale did struggle a little bit right out of the gate as Jean Segura hit a triple off of him and was able to score on a ground out by Ryan Braun. The White Sox were down on the road once again and needed their bats to come alive to bounce back after falling behind.

They would have to wait until the top of the 5th as Mike Fiers pitched a great game through the first 4 innings. Alexei Ramirez led off the inning with a double, Tyler Flowers followed that up with another double to score Ramirez, and then Flowers would score on the next at bat when Micah Johnson singled him home. It looked like things would keep going well for Chicago as Sale was on the mound and now they had a one run lead.

Elian Herrera would help the Brewers in the bottom of the inning as he started off with a solo Home Run, which was his fourth home run of the season. The game stayed tied up at 2 a piece until the Brewers started bringing people in from their bullpen.

Michael Blazek would get his first loss of the season as he ended up with the bases loaded after a Jose Abreu walk, an Avisail Garcia single, and then a wild pitch leading to an intentional walk to Connor Gillaspie. With only one out in the top of the eighth, Alexei Ramirez would hit the sacrifice fly to score the winning run in Jose Abreu. Emilio Bonifacio would score in the top of the ninth to add an insurance run when Jose Abreu got his only RBI of the game on a single.

David Robertson came in to close out the game for the White Sox and easily got his 6th save of the season as he struck out Khris Davis and Ryan Braun before getting Carlos Gomez to fly out for the final out of the game.

These two teams will play the third game of the series as the Chicago White Sox (13-17) will put Jose Quintana (1-3 , 5.03 ERA) on the mound to face the Milwaukee Brewers (12-22) who will counter by putting Jimmy Nelson (1-3 , 4.00 ERA) against him. Both teams are desperate for some wins as they have struggled to start the season.
