After a rough loss in 10 innings on Monday night when Corey Kluber had an amazing game, the Cleveland Indians knew they needed to get things together in order to save a solid outing that Trevor Bauer would put together on Tuesday night.

They got started off really quickly as Jason Kipnis started off with a triple to lead off the first inning. Jose Ramírez would walk and then Michael Brantley would hit the sacrifice fly to get Kipnis home for an early one run Indians lead.

The White Sox would get their lone run in the bottom of the fourth when there were two outs and Jose Abreu would hit a ground rule double. Avisail García would hit a single two batters later and the White Sox would load the bases to try and take the lead, but Alexei Ramírez would strikeout to end the inning. Trevor Bauer would end up with 7 strikeouts over 7.1 innings and allowed only 4 hits and 3 walks as he earned the win in this game.

Cleveland took the lead again in the top of the fifth when they got some two out magic of their own. Kipnis would reach on an infield single and then Jose Ramírez would hit a double that would score Kipnis as he got off to a fast run since there were already two outs. That would be the only two runs given up by Jose Quintana as he got the loss in this game.

Brandon Moss would hit a solo home run for another insurance run and his sixth home run of the season to give the Indians their 3-1 final tally.

Cody Allen came in and earned the save by striking out both Connor Gillaspie and Emilio Bonifacio while not letting anyone on to finish out the game and preserving the win for Cleveland.

The Cleveland Indians (15-23) will put Shaun Marcum (0-0, 1.80 ERA) up on the mound to face Chicago White Sox (18-18) rookie pitcher Carlos Rodon (1-0, 4.96 ERA). The game is still going to be in Chicago and it is scheduled to start at 8:10 PM ET.
