The Cleveland Indians rolled into PNC Park Friday night with a four-game winning streak. The Pittsburgh Pirates, winners of five-straight after a sweep of the Detroit Tigers, returned home to meet the Tribe in their final homestand before the All-Star Break.

The Indians shut the Pirates offense down, at least compared to what the Pirates did in Detroit this week. The Indians limited the Bucs to just two runs on the evening.

Starter Trevor Bauer was superb for the Tribe as he pitched 6.1 innings, giving up just one big hit. Other than a two-run homer in the bottom of the fourth inning by Andrew McCutchen, Bauer pitched great. Cleveland's pitching all-around was great, as the bullpen backed Bauer the rest of the way.

For the Indians, Brandon Moss started off the scoring in the top of the second by hitting his 14th homer of the year, which was a two-run blast to put the Tribe up 2-0.

In the top of the fourth, Michael Bourn put the Indians up 3-0 with an RBI double, his ninth double of the year and 15th RBI of the season.

Bourn didn't stop there because shortly after play resumed due to a roughly two hour rain delay, he singled in two more runs and collected his 16th and 17th RBI's on the year. The Indians led 5-2 and that's what the final score read.

Trevor Bauer's mound opponent Charlie Morton still earned himself a quality start on Friday night but he also suffered the loss, falling to 6-2 on the year.

The Indians pitching was just too much to handle for the Pirates on Friday. Marc Rzepczynski, Zach McAllister, Bryan Shaw, and Cody Allen all came out of the bullpen and shut the Pirates out after Bauer exited. Allen earned his 16th save on the season, and has now pitched 16.2 consecutive scoreless innings.

For the Indians, the win helped them keep pace with the Kansas City Royals, as the Royals also won Friday night. The Indians are still eight games behind the Royals in the AL Central.

The Pirates, on the other hand, missed out on a few opportunities tonight. The Pirates entered this contest 12 games over .500 but have not reached 13 games over .500 or better this season. More importantly for the Pirates, however, was the missed chance to gain ground on the St. Louis Cardinals. The Cardinals dropped their fourth-straight, but the Pirates still sit six games back with Friday's loss.

Next up in this series is Saturday's 4th of July matinee. The Pirates send Jeff Locke (4-4, 4.55 ERA) up against Cody Anderson (1-0, 0.57 ERA).
