6:00 pm ET: Thank you everyone for following along with VAVEL USA during the 30 hour non stop trade deadline coverage! It has been a fun day, with many exciting moves made that could impact baseball this season, and for the next 20 years. Players like Daniel Norris and Sean Manaea could be brought up in trade deadline deals 15 years from now, and the stories with their new teams all started today. Signing off for the last time on this live, is Chris Robbins. Hope you all have a very nice day, and I hope to see you follow me on Twitter @ChrisRVavel thanks everyone!

5:55 pm ET: The biggest pattern that seems to be coming out of the trade deadline deals this year is quantity over quality. With the exception of Daniel Norris of the Toronto Blue Jays in the David Price deal, no team traded their top prospect in a trade this year. Kansas City Royals prospect Sean Manaea was very highly rated as well, but Raul Mondesi Jr. is considered their top prospect. Teams elected to go for more lower level players, instead of few higher level ones, due to the buyers unwillingness to trade top names and the chance that maybe multiple players in a deal turn out.

5:45 pm ET: The best prospect gain (not including David Price) at this time seems to be the Oakland A's for Ben Zobrist, with Yoenis Cespedes and Johnny Cueto also high on the list. Sean Manaea and Aaron Brooks are both close to major league ready pieces, and could both help Oakland make a run as early as next season. While neither is the next Sonny Gray, they could be the next two young A's pitchers. The Royals also sent a hefty package to the Cincinnati Reds for Cueto including Brandon Finnegan, John Lamb and Cody Reed. All three players, especially Finnegan, could make a major league impact in the near future, with Finnegan's coming as early as the end of this season. The Tigers also had a good prospect package in return for Yoenis Cespedes. While they didn't get Zach Wheeler, they got a top prospect in Michael Fulmer, and a developmental prospect in Luis Cessa. Fulmer is a solid young pitcher, who instantly becomes one of the Tigers' best prospects, as he has a very high ceiling, and has shown plus potential on multiple pitches, most notably his wipeout slider and 96 MPH fastball.

5:45 pm ET: The most unbalanced deal at the trade deadline was the Troy Tulowitzki deal shipping him from Colorado to Toronto. It makes little sense why the Colorado Rockies would ship the face of their franchise under control long term, for a shortstop who is older, more injury prone, and getting paid more money, and three prospects who aren't likely to make a big impact at the major league level.

5:40 pm ET: The most fair trade made at the deadline this year would likely be David Price from the Detroit Tigers to the Toronto Blue Jays. Toronto gave up good young prospects to get their ace, including top prospect Daniel Norris. Norris is a good piece for the future, while Price was a great piece for the 2015 postseason run. Both teams were moving in opposite directions as their talent level, and made a great trade work out.

5:40 pm ET: The biggest trade made at the deadline this year will have to be Cole Hamels to the Texas Rangers due to its long term benefit potential for both clubs. Texas got a good starter and relief pitcher in the deal, while Philadelphia acquired a hug list of prospects.

5: 35 pm ET: The National League Wildcard has the Pittsburgh Pirates up by three games over the San Francisco Giants, who have a two game lead for the second Wildcard spot. The teams chasing the Giants include the Chicago Cubs who are two games back, and the New York Mets who are four and a half games back.

5:30 pm ET: The current standings going into play today have the New York Yankees, Kansas City Royals, Houston Astros, St. Louis Cardinals, Los Angeles Dodgers and Washington Nationals in the division lead. The Los Angeles Angels are in the AL Wildcard lead by two games over the second-Wildcard Minnesota Twins. The Twins are two games up on the Baltimore Orioles and Toronto Blue Jays, who are both poised to overtake Minnesota in their slot, with many other teams competing as well.

5:25 pm ET: Unfortunately, there were also losers at the trade deadline this season. Among them are the Arizona Diamondbacks, who did nothing to improve in a tough NL West, the Los Angeles Dodgers, as they missed out on both David Price and Cole Hamels, along with the Yankees, who missed out on many pitchers, including Price and Hamels.

5:10 pm ET: Some teams were rather disappointing, like the San Diego Padres, while some teams over performed, and did much better than expected, like the Toronto Blue Jays. Other winners in this trade deadline include the Detroit Tigers, New York Mets, Houston Astros, and Kansas City Royals. The Blue Jays acquired Troy Tulowitzki and David Price, the Astros traded for Carlos Gomez and Scott Kazmir, and the Kansas City Royals made early trades for Ben Zobrist and Johnny Cueto. The Tigers, meanwhile, sold David Price, Yoenis Cespedes for large profits, while shipping Joakim Soria off for a prospect who adds even more depth to the outfield. One common pattern was every team that won at the deadline added one good pitcher and one good outfielder. Another team that could be big winners at the deadline is the Texas Rangers, who traded for Cole Hamels, however that trade is too early to judge as of now.

5:05 pm ET: The big storylines from this deadline were likely to include big market teams being buyers, like the New York Yankees, Los Angeles Dodgers, etc. There were the smaller market teams like the Royals looking to continue improving, and then there were the teams like the Detroit Tigers, who were reportedly going in with the intention to sell, not buy, for the first time in years.

5:00 pm ET: It appears as though all the non-waiver trade deadline deals have been announced. Here at VAVEL USA, there will be analysis on the trade deadline for another hour though, so stick around for a little bit longer!

4:40 pm ET: The returns for the players acquired below has been updated. There may still be more coming in, but nothing major, as the Padres only moved their outfielder Abraham Almonte.

4:25 pm ET: It looks like the Padres did actually do something... Outfielder Abraham Almonte has been traded to the Cleveland Indians for Marc Rzepczynski. Good luck spelling that one every time he comes out of the pen, Padres fans!

4:25 pm ET: Two more deals have come in. Starting pitcher J.A. Happ has been traded to the Pittsburgh Pirates from the Seattle Mariners, return is pitcher Adrian Sampson. Pitcher Sam Dyson has been traded to the Texas Rangers from the Miami Marlins for catcher Tomas Tellis and pitcher Cody Ege

4:20 pm ET: Two more moves have come in. The Los Angeles Dodgers have traded Utility player Michael Morse for outfielder Jose Tabata and cash compensation from the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Red Sox have also acquired Ryan Cook, a relief pitcher from the Oakland Athletics. The return on that deal is a player to be named later. Likely a salary dump from the Athletic's perspective.

4:15 pm ET: It is really interesting to see a lot of people who do not follow the Tigers dislike their moves. One fan of an opposing team told me that the Tigers should fire Dombrowski because he got nothing for their two best players. Anyone who agrees with this is wrong on multiple points. First, Miguel Cabrera is their best player. Also, Norris and Fulmer are great pitching prospects, other three acquired (plus JaCoby Jones from Pittsburgh) could all make a major league impact in the future.

4:13 pm ET: Going back to the Cespedes trade for just a second, Michael Fulmer, Daniel Norris from the David Price trade, as well as a resurging Justin Verlander and Anibal Sanchez, who has not done too bad for the Tigers is a formidable four man rotation next season. The Tigers "reboot" has done very well, and it look like Dombrowski accomplished his goal.

4:09 pm ET: The Orioles have traded Tommy Hunter to the Chicago Cubs for Junior Lake according to multiple reports. Seems like a pretty fair trade for both sides giving the deadline.

4:07 pm ET: The Detroit Tigers got a good return for Yoenis Cespedes in Fulmer and Cessa. Fulmer is a good young prospect, who may turn into the next Garrett Richards. Tigers might also be able to re-sign Cespedes in the offseason.

4:05 pm ET: Hi everybody! Chris Robbins back once again, covering the trade deadline deals coming in late today. I'll start by saying the Tigers acquired two young righties Michael Fulmer and Luis Cessa.

4:00 pm ET: It has been a pleasure ladies and gentleman! Don't forget to follow me on twitter @TroyJoness1998!

2:51 pm ET: Jerry Crasnick of ESPN has reported that the Padres are more likely to move Joaquin Benoit and Ian Kennedy. The price for Tyson Ross may be too high.

2:45 pm ET: According to Bob Nightengale of USA Today, the Padres and Cubs do not necessarily need a third team for a blockbuster. The deal would send Tyson Ross and Craig Kimbrel to Chicago.

2:37 pm ET: Jayson Stark of ESPN has reported that he has heard that the Atlanta Braves could trade Jonny Gomes. Would be a great veteran leader for a team that is in contention.

2:32 pm ET: According to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports, the New York Mets are making a big push for Yoenis Cespedes. The Tigers will look to get a good prospect and even a major league ready starter.

1:56 pm ET: According to Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports, the Minnesota Twins will acquire Kevin Jepsen. The team had been looking for bullpen help.

1:53 pm ET: Chris Cotillo of SB Nation reports that the Cincinnati Reds might just keep outfielder Jay Bruce. The Mets might have scared them off

1:39 pm ET: John Tomase of WEEI.com has reported a three-team deal involving the San Diego Padres, Boston Red Sox, and Chicago Cubs seems unlikely at this point. Seperate deals could still get done.

1:35 pm ET: According to Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times, the Tampa Bay Rays are likely to deal a reliever. The Minnesota Twins have been active in that market and there could be a deal there.

1:31 pm ET: According to Jeff Passan of Yahoo! Sports, atleast 12 teams have called the Miami Marlins on relief pitcher Carter Capps. He should be dealt before the deadline.

1:25 pm ET: Gordon Wittenmyer of the Chicago Sun-Times has reported that the Chicago Cubs have acquired Dan Haren from the Miami Marlins. I wouldn't doubt the Cubs make another starting pitching move.

1:18 pm ET: Jordan Schultz of The Huffington Post has reported that the Chicago Cubs are strongly better suitors for Craig Kimbrel. The Red Sox and Yankees are in on him.

1:15 pm ET: According to Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports, there is a 50-50 chance that the Cincinnati Reds move closer Aroldis Chapman. The Yankees, Diamondbacks, and Astros are in on Chapman.

1:12 pm ET: Jon Morosi of Fox Sports has just reported that the Chicago Cubs, Boston Red Sox, and San Diego Padres have discussed a three-team deal. This deal would be a mega block buster.

1:08 pm ET: According to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports, the Blue Jays are close to acquiring reliever Mark Lowe from the Mariners. The Blue Jays continue to stock pile their team. Needed bullpen help and Lowe has been very consistent.

1:07 pm ET: Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald has reported that the Miami Marlins are about to make multiple moves. The team has been looking for starting pitching.

1:06 pm ET: According to Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports, the Detroit Tigers and New York Mets have talke about outfielder Yoenis Cespedes. He is only one bat that the Mets are looking at.

1:02 pm ET: According to Jim Bowden of ESPN, there will be a flurry of trades that will be done but won't be announced untill after four o' clock.

12:54 pm ET: According to Scott Miller of Bleacher Report, the Minnesota Twins are trying hard to get bullpen help. The team could look at Joaquin Benoit or even the two high profile closers.

12:50 pm ET: Andy Martino of the New York Daily News has reported there is a mystery in the Craig Kimbrel sweepstakes. The Minnesota Twins who need bullpen help could be in the mix. Kimbrel will be moved before the deadline.

12:46 pm ET: Joel Sherman of the New York Post has reported the New York Mets are confident the team will add atleast one bat today. They have had Jay Bruce and Yoenis Cespedes

12:43 pm ET: Accroding to Jerry Crasnick of ESPN, trade talks between the Cincinnati Red and New York Mets have lost momentum. The deal would send outfielder Jay Bruce to the Mets. The Mets have had a couple of bad days.

12:41 pm ET: The Baltimore Orioles have announced they have designated right-handed pitcher Bud Norris for assignment. The team will look to trade him in the next three and a half hours.

12:38 pm ET: On MLB Network, Jon Heyman has reported that the Houston Astros are in on closers Craig Kimbrel and Aroldis Chapman. A ton of news on these two guys of that so have to think they get moved. Houston would be complete with a dominant closer.

12:34 pm ET: Now Rosenthal is reporting that the Yankees and Padres had talks on Craig Kimbrel but talks died and have not been revived. The Yankees also have their eye in Aroldis Chapman.

12:32 pm ET: Also, Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports reported that the New York Yankees are the hottest team in the Craig Kimbrel pursuit. Kimbrel would give the Yankees the best bullpen in the majors. No doubt.

12:30 pm ET: While we were gone there was a trade. According to Jerry Crasnick of ESPN, the Milwaukee Brewers have sent reliever Jonathan Broxton to the St. Louis Cardinals. The Cardinals are doing a great job of solidifying their bullpen.

12:28 pm ET: Hello ladies and gentleman! I am back for another three hours. Be sure to follow me on twitter @TroyJones1998

3:06 am ET: Right now, Tyson Ross is linked to them Cubbies, maybe the Dodgers. Kimbrel closest to moving to the Yanks of New York.

3:03 am ET: Two of the biggest pieces still on the block are closers Aroldis Chapman and Craig Kimbrel. Reds and Padres adamant about getting top dollar for their star closers.

You can follow me on Twitter with the handle @TheDrapVAVEL. DM or Tweet me any questions or discussions you want to have, or if you'd like to apply for a position at VAVEL.

3:00 am ET: Just 13 hours away folks. Look for the San Diego Padres to emerge as the center of trades soon enough, as they have loads of pieces rumored to be on the block or in negotiations.

2:56 am ET: I'll be here until 6 am ET. Not much should happen, but with the deadline at 4 pm, who knows what MLB general managers are up to?

1:35 am ET: According to Chris Cotillo of SB Nation, Houston Astros prospect Mark Appel could be involved in a deal with the San Diego Pardres. It is still unclear if the two teams are close to a trade. Appel was the Astros first round pick back in 2013.

1:34 am ET: According to Jeff Passan of Yahoo! Sports, the Houston Astros and San Diego Padres could be working on something big. The two teams have talked about Tyson Ross and Craig Kimbrel and the Padres could use a center fielder like Jake Marisnick.

1:26 am ET: According to Chris Cotillo of SB Nation, some believe that the Houston Astros could move outfielder Jake Marisnick. After acquiring Carlos Gomez, the team has a surplus amounto of outfielders and could look to move Marisnick.

1:23 am ET: According to Chris Cotillo of SB Nation, the Diamondbacks are still hopeful they can land closer Aroldis Chapman. The team would look to lock up Chapman if they were to acquire him. Might have to give up a lot.

1:00 am ET: According to Jayson Stark of ESPN, a team expects Philadelphia Phillies to trade center fielder Ben Revere by the end of the deadline. There are a number of teams looking for a outfield bat: Chicago White Sox, New York Mets, and Baltimore Orioles.

12:56 am ET: According to Jayson Stark of ESPN, "nothing has changed" on Aroldis Chapman. The price is still high for Chapman and the Cincinnati Reds will not budge. The Diamondbacks and Yankees reported to be in the mix.

12:42 am ET: The San Francisco Giants have confirmed via their twitter page the trade for Mike Leake. Trade is done. Leake is headed to the Giants and the Reds have received Keury Mella and Adam Duvall. Nice trade for both teams

12:37 am ET: According to Jon Morosi of Fox Sports, the Cincinnati Reds have also acquired first baseman/third baseman Adam Duvall. Duvall has spent this season in the minors after appearing in 28 games last year for the Giants. The Reds seem to just be stock piling their farm system

12:28 am ET: According to Joel Sherman, the Cincinnati Reds will receive right-handed pitcher Keury Mella from the San Francisco Giants. Mella was the Giants top prospect. He has a ton of strike outs and a few amount of walks compared to those strike outs.

12:26 am ET: According to Jon Morosi of Fox Sports, the Cincinnati Reds will receive two minor leaguers for Mike Leake. Who those minor leaguers are is unknown.

12:20 am ET: According to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports, Mike Leake has been traded to the San Francisco Giants. The Giants now have a good rotation as they look to battle the Los Angeles Dodgers for the National League West title.

12:08 am ET: According to Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports, the Arizona Diamondback want to land Aroldis Chapman. The team looks to do this so they can have a elite closer for the future as they are rebuilding. The Cincinnati Reds would look to get serious propspects for Chapman.

12:04 am ET: Acording to Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports, the New York Yankees are interested in a elite closer. The team has looked at both Craig Kimbrel and Aroldis Chapman. A move like this would give the team a great shot to keep their American League East lead.

11:55 pm ET: According to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports, the San Francisco Giants are trying to acquire right-handed pitcher Mike Leake from the Cincinnati Reds. This move would give the Giants a legit one-two combo with Madison Bumgarner. The team struck out on aces Cole Hamels and David Price earlier.

11:53 pm ET: Hello ladies and gentleman! My name is Troy Jones and I will be with you for the next three hours. You can follow me on twitter @TroyJones1998. Now lets begin with all the top news in the baseball world!

11:52 pm ET: It has been a fun three hours with you all! The last thing I have for you is Jon Morosi saying that the Giants are in active discussion to acquire Mike Leake from the Cincinatti Reds. With that, it has been a fun three hours, despite no deals getting done. Remember to follow me on Twitter @ChrisRVavel as I will be tweeting updates leading up to the trade deadline there, and I hope you continuing following along with my good friend Troy Jones, who will take over for the next three hours. Have a good night everyone!

11:45 pm ET: Danny Demilio believes that Yoenis Cespedes might get traded with the Orioles, White Sox and Mets as possible suitors. Pretty much echoes what has been heard on him lately. Mets likely in on Jay Bruce, and the Orioles are reportedly in on Gerardo Parra. White Sox may be the only fit left for him.

11:13 pm ET: According to Chris Cotillo, the San Diego Padres have pulled Will Middlebrooks from his AAA start. Could signal the beginning of the Padres sell off. They were reportedly close to a deal involving Tyson Ross and the Chicago Cubs earlier today, while Justin Upton's name has been flying in many rumors as well. Craig Kimbrel was close to being traded to the Yankees earlier as well, so it could be any number of moves.

11:03 pm ET: According to Chris Cotillo, Arizona Diamondbacks starting pitching prospect Aaron Blair had his start moved from Wednesday to Friday. Cotillo says it could be to position him for a call up if the Diamondbacks trade away a name like Jeremy Hellickson, or he could be a part of the Aroldis Chapman package.

11:00 pm ET: According to Darren Wolfson of ESPN 1500 radio, Ricky Nolasco's name keeps coming up with San Diego. With the earlier report that Minnesota was interested in Justin Upton and Joaquin Benoit, his name could get moved in a potential package.

10:58 pm ET: Update on the Ketel Marte situation, according to Chris Cotillo it appears as though he is being called up, and that it is not for a trade, although the situation is still being watched until this is confirmed

10:55 pm ET: According to Ken Rosenthal, the holdup of the Cole Hamels trade is likely due to Administration issues, with an agreement scheduled to be announced and made official tomorrow.

10:45 pm ET: Two teams that could be active soon have just finished their game. The Detroit Tigers have defeated the Baltimore Orioles 9-8 while rumored trade piece Yoenis Cespedes had a nice game, collecting a home run and three runs batted in. Detroit used Alex Wilson in the closer's role, getting a five out save to replace Joakim Soria for the time being. Tigers now only three games back in the Wildcard, despite selling David Price and Soria earlier today. While no Tigers trades are close, they have been talking to many teams about him recently.

10:31 pm ET: According to Chris Cotillo, some executives believe that one dark horse destination for Justin Upton may be the Minnesota Twins, who he adds are also looking to acquire relief pitcher Joaquin Benoit from the Padres. Should a deal like this happen, it would likely not affect the relief pitching market very much, but would remove the second best outfield name on the market.

10:27 pm ET: VAVEL USA will continue to monitor the Ketel Marte situation, as there is no reason being given for his late removal from the lineup. The Mariners have not been reported to be buyers, and were sellers earlier today when trading Dustin Ackley to the New York Yankees.

10:16 pm ET: According to Chris Cotillo, top Mariner's prospect Ketel Marte was originally in the Triple A Tacoma lineup, however was taken out. Also from Cotillo, White Sox prospect Courtney Hawkins was also removed in-game today, however it is not because of a trade.

10:15 pm ET: According to Jayson Stark via Adam Abramson, the Astros are amongst teams interested in Aroldis Chapman. Interest for Chapman likely has increased since Craig Kimbrel was a likely candidate to go to the New York Yankees.

10:10 pm ET: According to New York Daily News writer Andy Martino, Sandy Alderson, the Mets manager prefers a bat that is under control beyond this year, like Jay Bruce, which may explain why little interest in Yoenis Cespedes and Justin Upton.

9:55 pm ET: Accoridng to Bob Nightengale, the Chicago Cubs are pushing hard for Tyson Ross of the Padres. A deal still isn't close, but he could still likely be traded by tomorrow's deadline.

9:50 pm ET: Jon Heyman reports there are five teams currently in on Yovani Gallardo. The Chicago Cubs, Toronto Blue Jays, Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Yankees and San Francisco Giants. All of them missed out on Cole Hamels, David Price or both except for the Blue Jays.

9:43 pm ET: According to Chris Cotillo, Jay Bruce's no trade clause does not include the New York Mets, meaning he can not block a trade there. It has not changed since November, meaning the teams he can block a deal to include the New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, Oakland A's, Tampa Bay Rays, Miami Marlins, Minnesota Twins, Toronto Blue Jays and the Arizona Diamondbacks.

9:35 pm ET: It seems like there appear to be a lot of deals that are close to being completed, but might be held up because of the games going on right now. Teams may be waiting to talk after their games are over, which could be soon for some 7:00 eastern games. There have been plenty of late night trades, including the Troy Tulowitzki deal and Brandon Moss deal.

9:30 pm ET: According to Jon Heyman, there are many teams interested in Seattle Mariners relief pitcher Mark Lowe. Teams that were in on Joakim Soria earlier today were the New York Mets, and Los Angeles Dodgers, but both missed out to Pittsburgh.

9:21 pm ET: Jon Heyman reports that the Arizona Diamondbacks have made an offer for Aroldis Chapman, and are awaiting a response from the Cincinatti Reds.

Click here for Price deal details.

Justin Sellers of the Pirates AAA system may be in a trade, per Cotillo.

Bronson Arroyo may be going to the Dodgers as well in the deal.

Three-teamer now done.

Sources indicating that Yoenis Cespedes and Joakim Soria may be traded by Detroit in a package deal.

Still at medical review stage.

Apparently, the three-team deal mentioned earlier is not yet official.

Johnny Cueto traded for 3 LHPs: Brandon Finnegan, John Lamb, & Cody Reed

David Price traded for 3 LHPs: Daniel Norris, Jairo Labourt, & Matt Boyd

One Blue Jays source: "We're still looking." Still looking for all pitching additions.

Toronto taking on entirety of Price salary, says Rosenthal.

Blue Jays are obvious winners of the deadline already. David Price AND Troy Tulowitzki.

Forgot to mention: Brandon Moss is headed to St. Louis for lefthander Rob Kaminsky.

Finalized deal: Norris, Boyd, Labourt for Price.

Also, Rosenthal confirms Boyd and says that Jairo Labourt is one of the other pieces leaving Toronto for Price.

Matt Boyd will be heading to the Tigers, says Chris Cotillo.

Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports says the deal is OFFICIALLY CONFIRMED. David Price is a Toronto Blue Jay.

Now Morosi is saying Alford is not in the deal.

Joakim Soria is also being shopped by Detroit, but he is unlikely to be included in the Price agreement, according to Jon Morosi of Fox Sports.

Another player possibly going to the Tigers is Anthony Alford. Aaron Sanchez and Marcus Stroman do not appear to be involved.

Many sources now confirming this deal is AGREED UPON, but the medical reviews have not been okayed, making the deal unofficial.

According to Jon Heyman, the deal is all but finalized, and Daniel Norris will be one of the players coming to Detroit in the deal.

Reports are indicating that the Blue Jays are in fact the closest team to acquiring Detroit Tigers southpaw ace David Price. He may be the best player still available.

Oddly enough, it was Gomez's injury history that shut the deal down. Zack Wheeler is the one who is still recovering from Tommy John Surgery, however Sandy Alderson felt like the team was not comfortable enough with making the deal. Scott Boras insists that Gomez is 100% fine. The Brewers are still looking to deal the star outfielder.

It seemed as well Wednesday night that the Mets had made a monster move to acquire Carlos Gomez from the Brewers. All details had been finalized, but the deal fell through, actually on New York's end due to concern over Gomez's medical records. Wilmer Flores and Zack Wheeler were set to go to Milwaukee, and Gomez had even posted a farewell picture from a team plane. Flores shed tears during what would have been his last game as a Met for the time being.

Joe Blanton will be leaving the Royals for Pittsburgh in a deal that brought cash considerations to KC.

Seems like an uneven trade, as the Dodgers acquire loads more value, but the teams has to undertake the remaining salaries of players like Latos who demand a pretty decent sum of money every season. The team has still added lots of depth and a third started to start behind Clayton Kershaw and Zack Greinke.

Braves get: Hector Olivera, Zack Bird, Paco Rodriguez, Miami compensation draft pick

Marlins get: Jeff Brigham, Victor Araujo, Kevin Guzman

Dodgers get: Latos, Morse, Wood, Jim Johnson, Luis Avilan, Jose Peraza, 34th overall selection in 2016 MLB Draft

Wednesday was also the night of the three-way trade between the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Atlanta Bravesand the Miami Marlins. That trade's main pieces are Mat Latos and Michael Morse, both who are headed to the Dodgers from Miami. Atlanta was just an addition to the trade, but they added Alex Wood and multiple other players to the pile acquired by LA. Here is the final breakdown:

Things started to heat up Wednesday evening. Two major deals went down, starting with the inevitable move of Phillies pitcher Cole Hamels, who threw a no-hitter in his last start with Philadelphia. Hamels was sent to the Texas Rangers in a trade that saw the Phillies also send Jake Diekman and cash to the Rangers in getting Matt Harrison and five Texas prospects.

David Murphy is on his way from the Cleveland Indians to Los Angeles, as the Angels acquired another outfielder in exchange for young shortstop Eric Stamets. The Angels picked up David DeJesus from the Tampa Bay Rays, stockpiling another outfielder, possibly in case of a Mike Trout long-term absence or the expected trading away of another current LA outfielder. The return fee for DeJesus was righthander Eduar Lopez.

Next, SS Ben Zobrist was sent by the A's to Kansas City, another bold move by the championship-contending Royals. The return sum was of prospects Sean Manaea and Aaron Brooks. Then closer Jonathan Papelbon finally was relocated to the Washington Nationals, as his Philadelphia Phillies received Double-A righthander Nick Pivetta.

Out of the blue, five-time All-Star shortstop Troy Tulowitzki, who had spent his whole career with the Rockies, was sent to the Toronto Blue Jays in a package deal that when finished had Tulo and LaTroy Hawkins moving to the Jays in exchange for Jose Reyes and three minor league players. A seemingly small sum for such a high caliber player. Many Rockies players and even Tulowitzki himself have expressed shock, sadness, and disappointment regarding the shortstop's departure.

After the Cueto trade, bigger deals started to finalize, such as the Mets' acquisition of reliever Tyler Clippard from the Atheltics in exchange for prospect Casey Meisner and cash. Shane Victorino was traded away from the Boston Red Sox along with $3.8 million in cash considerations for Angels infielder Josh Rutledge. Victorino afterwards gave a very emotional press conference. The Seattle Mariners received J.C. Ramirez from the Arizona Diamondbacks for cash and future considerations
