Ask and you shall receive. Ever since Chael Sonnen faced Anderson Silva there has been an unmentioned agreement in combat sports where if you put in the work to call out an opponent it may work. One lady who has been busy doing that as of late is undefeated Brazilian women's bantamweight contender Bethe Correia. For months even leading up to Rousey’s last title defense the Bethe has been busy on social media and the press letting the world know she is the one to beat Ronda. Rousey has open expressed that she would enjoy fighting Bethe and it looks as if we will see this happen. First reported on the website GLOBO, UFC will have the two face each other at UFC 190 in Rio de Janeiro on August 1st at the HSBC Arena.

Bethe Correia has won her last three fights with two of the victories over Rousey’s teammates. She looks to continue the streak and take down arguably the P4P best fighter in the planet. The brewing rivalry between the two has been chronicled for some time and will be a great headlining event in Correia's homeland.

Rousey is coming off her astounding 14 second finish over then number one contender Cat Zingano. While Cat was injured many were looking for a true contender for Rousey and the entire time Bethe has been advocating for herself. There was also a discussion of possibly having Jessica Eye be the next contender but many felt she still needed one fight to do so. She is now scheduled to face Miesha Tate in June which will truly add to the historic implications from back at UFC 184. Look for official confirmation on the booking along with card announcements in the near future.
