The card for the upcoming Bellator 138 in St. Louis, Mo “Unfinished Business” is now complete. While the order of the preliminary card is not finalized we at least know the matchups to look forward too. Upcoming talent mixed with some of the best fighters in the St. Louis area will compete on the grand stage on June 19th live from the Scottrade Center. Former TUF alum and WSOF fighter Adam Cella (6-3) will be competing against a man who recently tried out for the TUF house in Kyle Kurtz (3-0). Also featherweight competitors Justin Lawrence (7-2) meets Sean Wilson (34-25), with two additional fights in the lightweight division with Eric Irvin (9-3) mixing it up with Hugh Pulley(4-2) followed by a battle between Garrett Gross (6-3) and Chris Heatherly (8-3). The preliminary round will live on Spike.com
Many remember Cella from his stint on the The Ultimate Fighter where he was a part of an unfortunate highlight from Uriah Hall. Cella looks to find his stride again after going 2-2 since his UFC loss back in 2013. Adam is a St. Louis favorite and will surely use this momentum to lead him to victory. He faces a man that also has a nice following in the state of Missouri in Kyle Kurtz. Kyle was recently featured in a recap here on VAVEL but was unable to find success in his TUF tryouts. The well rounded competitor should be a great match up for the hard hitting Cella.
Justin Lawrence is a former boxing and kickboxing champion and is the current RFA featherweight champion. He makes his Bellator debut with a three fight win streak intact. Eric Irvin out of Pilot Knob, Mo is on a streak himself, having won his last four fights. Both Hugh Pulley and Illinois prospect Chris Heatherly look to snap their two fight losing streaks. Garrett Gross is a finisher who has only gone to a decision once in his nine professional fights.
