On July 17th, Bellator MMA returns to the Mohegan Sun Arena for a welterweight title fight between world champion Douglas Lima (26-5) and Andrey Koreshkov (17-1). The card has a new fight as 26-year-old Connecticut native Brennan Ward (10-3) will face Gavin Sterritt (6-1) in a clash at 170. This is the fourth fight announced on an already impressive looking card.

Ward is a known finisher who has won nine out of his ten victory by some sort of stoppage. He came up short in the title bout after winning the season nine tournament. He pulled off an impressive rear naked choke on Curtis Millender back in February. He will be tough to beat in front of a home state crowd.

Gavin Sterritt, fighting out of Liverpool, England, is is undefeated in his two fight stint so far under the Bellator banner. His last victory was back in March and was a first round submission finish over Mike Estus. Gavin also has a great finishing rate with five of his six victories not falling into the judge's hands. He is a submission specialist who carried multiple titles from regional promotions.

Earlier, it was announced that fellow englishman Michael Venom Page (7-0) looks to stay unbeaten against Rudy Bears (16-13) at 170. Also, the co-main event is set when Chris Honeycutt (6-0) goes up against Paul Bradley (22-6) in a showcase night for welterweight division for Bellator MMA.
