No, it did not go as fast as her last fight, but only by a mere 15-16 seconds longer; undisputed UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey (12-0) revitalized a down UFC 190 crowd with a first round KO. This was not the usual TKO referee stoppage as big John McCarthy needed to step in only once after a devastating blow from the champ. You could tell this was personal as Ronda and Bethe Correia (9-1) wildly exchanged in the start of the fight but as both fighters composed themselves, Ronda found her spot and landed a shot to the temple of Bethe. Correia did well avoiding the judo toss from Rousey but a slip backwards gave her no time to regroup the charging champion. This proves that not only has Ronda improved her striking but has completely cleared out the division at 135. The only thing that’s next is for her to possibly have this match up with Cristiane "Cyborg" Justino as we are sure she will be asked time and time again in the post fight presser. For now, she remains the top fighter in the women's bantamweight division and possibly the biggest draw in UFC history. Bethe will be back, we are sure, but it makes sense for her to mix it up with someone else in the top 10 to see how she can come back from such an emotional fight.

The rematch between Mauricio Shogun Rua (23-10) and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira (21-7) won’t be as memorable as the first fight but it was nice to see these two legends mix it up once again. Nogueira was unable to avenge his loss as the footwork of Shogun made the difference. Little Nog hurt him early in the fight but Shogun regrouped and landed some well placed kicks that sent Nog back. He ends up winning the rematch ten years in the making. Not too sure what’s next for either fighter, but there is definitely some life in the legs of Shogun.

President Dana White and the UFC brass will have to think long and hard about placing TUF finales on an already established pay per view. Viewers hit a real lull and it was felt all over social media during the grinder between Glacio Franca (13-3) and Fernando Bruno (15-3). The first two rounds really wore out both fighters who clinched their way to the third. The advantage was clearly in Franca’s favor and Bruno needed to show some urgency to look for a finish to win. He did what he could and put on some pressure but eventually wore down which allowed him to make a mistake which left him open for the third round submission. Franca is a huge lightweight so it will be interesting to see how he does in one of the deepest divisions in the UFC.

Reginaldo Vieira (13-3) and Dileno Lopes (19-2) put it all out on the table and showed heart in an evenly matched fight. This was the first of the TUF Brazil 4 finale fights and it did not disappoint. These guys gave it their all with a guillotine battle in the first round. It was so close through each round that the third would be the defining moment in the last few seconds. Vieira escaped another deadly guillotine attempt to end the round on top laying down some powerful hammerfist. He leaves as the 135 pound winner of TUF Brazil 4 with he and Lopes putting on a memorable performance.

Stefan Struve (26-7) has always looked up to Minotoro Nogueira (34-10) and showed his respect by giving a great performance against the iconic fighter. It was an evenly matched battle but in each round Stefan got through the defense of Minotouro to land some vicious blows. He edged out the prolific fighter to win in hostile territory. Two fighters headed in different directions in their career but gave an exciting fight for all to enjoy.

Possibly one of the scariest moments during UFC 190 was when Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva (19-7) ran out of the tunnel. Actually, his uppercut to Soa Paliel (23-5) was even more devastating as it dropped the heavyweight in the second round. It was a good first round for Soa but he could not duplicate the success in the next. Bigfoot hurt him with a knee and took over from there. It was great performance for him looking to get back on track in the division.

Claudia Gadelha (13-1) welcomed Jessica Aguilar (9-5) to the UFC with a bevy of jabs and uppercuts that found the nose of JAG. Both women had no issue keeping this fight on the feet even though Claudia was able to land a few takedowns. Gadelha found success over and over with her hands and just seemed to be a little too much for Jessica. Aguilar threw an outside leg kick that eventually caused Gadelha to check it. The third round was the best from Jessica but similar to the first two rounds, Claudia was able to successful hit her takedown and would cruise to take all three rounds. Not the best induction to the octagon for JAG but we will see her again soon. For Claudia, there is only one person she needs to fight and that is the champ.
