Winner of 15 titles including the French Open, Ana Ivanovic is having a bad start of the season.

Ana had an amazing 2014 year climbing from 16th (season-ending ranking of 2013) in the WTA rankings to 5th (season-ending ranking of 2014) and winning 59 (!) matches of 77 she played. She won the titles in Auckland, Monterrey, Birmingham and Tokyo. She was also finalist in Stuttgart and Cincinnati, semifinalist in Rome and Beijing, and quarterfinalist in Australian Open and Madrid.

This year, Ana has been having a poor season so far. She started off very well reaching the final in Brisbane but right after that, she lost in the first round of the Australian Open to Lucie Hradecka, who was qualifier and ranked 141st on the WTA. Ana said that she had broken her toe so she didn't practice much leading into the tournament. The next month she played in Dubai where she fell to Karolkina Pliskova in the 3rd round, and the tournament after was in Monterrey where she couldn't defend the title and lost to Caroline Garcia in the semifinal. A week after this loss she lost again to Caroline Garcia but this time at the BNP Paribas Open in third round. Her last tournament was the Miami Open. In Miami she had to play hard against Irina Falconi (qualifier and ranked 103rd) and won this second round match in three tight sets. After this, she was defeated by Sabine Lisicki in the third round.

No one knows "where" the Ana Ivanovic from 2014 is. The fans are disappointed because of her early losses in many tournaments this year. She has won 9 matches of the 15 she has played, and after a great season last year, fans expected the same or better results for this season. Some fans say that the time she spends with Bastian Schweinsteiger, her boyfriend, is the reason for this terrible season, other fans say that her toe is not fully healed yet and that's the reason for her struggles. There are many theories out there but no one is sure what is going on with her.

Now, with the start of the clay court season, fans expect more from Ana, especially since the clay is where she won her first and only Grand Slam at the French Open back in 2008.
