Today, the United States championship game took place in the 2015 Little League World Series between Lewisberry, Pennsylvania and Pearland, Texas. The crowd was 45,716 strong and rocking for what would turn into a great game.

Cole Wagner was the starting pitcher for Pennsylvania. During the tournament, he had 23 strikeouts and one walk. Wagner would start with a bang as he struck out the side in the first inning. 

Ryan Farmer got the first batter to ground out to third. Then Wagner followed by absolutely crushing an opposite field home run down the left field line, making it 1-0 Pennsylvania. After the next batter popped out to Alex Soloman at second, Chayton Krauss grounded out to Tadlock again at third, ending the top of the first.

Leading off the top of the second for Texas, Zack Mack ripped a double to left. After Tristan Schwehr singled, and the runner stayed at third Marco Gutierrez struck out. However, on the throw back to Wagner, the ball went off his glove and the runner Raffi Gross (who had pinch run for Mack) scored. Then a wild pitch got Schwehr to third. After a strikeout to make it two out, Lloyd Richards III struck out to end the frame. However, it was not before Pennsylvania tied the game at one.

After a groundout, Mack walked to open the fourth against Wagner. Then with two out, Gutierrez doubled to right center, and after a bobble Mack scored from first making it 2-1 Texas. Connor DeLeon then flied out right to end the top of the fourth.

Farmer struck out Wagner to start the home half of the fourth. Jaden Henline proceeded to tie the game on another opposite field home run. Nothing more would come of the fourth. Going to the fifth, the game was tied 2-2.


After a leadoff walk in the bottom of the sixth, Wagner came up to bat. Wagner came up to bat against Gutierrez. Wagner struck out swinging, but then Henline singled to bring the runner to third. The winning run was at third with one out. Chayton Krauss would single to right field, and won the game for Pennsylvania 3-2.

The celebration then began for the Mid-Atlantic team, as Texas was eliminated. Pennsylvania is moving on to play Japan in the Championship game of the 2015 Little League World Series.
