Honestly, this was a shockingly good race for myself to look. A lot of racing. Not too many cars had problems which only made this race string into a lot of loose action. Love how the young guys of this series are really beginning tot ake over. A new wave in NASCAR is really about to take off. 4:58 PM: At the end of the second round, Brian Scott is fastest, and Kasey Kahne grabs the final transfer spot.

4:54 PM: With round two now coming to its end, the fastest driver on track is Brian Scott. He is followed by Ty Dillon and Erik Jones.

4:46PM: and at the end of the first round of qualifying, Ty Dillon is the fastest. On to the next round for the 24 fastest cars.

4:41 PM: The top drivers won't go on track for the remainder of the round. Eric Mclure currently holds the final spot into the second round.

4:37 PM: As qualifying is pretty deep into the first round, Ty Dillon is currently the fastest man in Chicago. He is followed by Chase Elliot and Cale Conley. The round only has six minutes remaining as of this jucture. 

4:00 PM: In the current series points standings, Regan Smith leads second place Elliot Sadler by 8 points. He's then followd by Chase Elliot at 13 points back, Ty Dillon who is behind by 34 points, and Brian Scott who is a little more than a whole race behind the points lead, trailing by 51 points.

3:45 PM: Enjoy the weather for tonight's race. Skies will be mostly clear with temperatures in the mid 70s. Oh what a fantastic night for racing.

3:30 PM To talk about the race within the race, lets talk about the Dash For Cash. The top four championship contenders from last weeks race will be competing for 100,000 dollars tonight. To win, all they need to do is be the highest running finishers of those four drivers, Those drivers are last weeks Dash For Cash winner, Regan Smith, Elliot Sadler, Chris Buescher, and Brian Scott. If Regan Smith can win all four Dash's, and the race at Iowa outirght, he will be awarded an extra 600,000 dollars. That would give him a grand total of one million dollars.

3:20 PM: A congratulations is also in order for Tony Stewart. Last night Tony returned to dirt for the first time since his season ending crash last season and won the race at at Tri City Motor Speedway in Auburn Michigan. 

3:17 PM: Who's going to win the pole for tonight's race? Look for a driver who ran very well in the first practice. Give the front rwo to second place qualifier Brain Scott and pole sitter Chase Elliot. 

3:15 PM: As of now, the cars have yet to qualify, and still have a few hours before they take thr track for those activities. In all, the entire 40 car field will be in play tonight as the maximum 40 cars showed up.

3:10 PM: In the second practice, Ty Dillon ran 3rd, Trevor Bayne ran 4th, Chase Elliot came in 7th, Elliot Sadler was in 12th, and Regan Smith got a very harsh 17th.

3:07 PM: Nationwide Series favorites results from first practice: Ty Dillon came in 9th, Trevor Bayne in 10th, Elliot Sadler came in 14th, Regan Smith in 15th, and rookie Chase Elliot ran in third.

3:05 PM: This weekend, the drivers have had two separate practice sessions. The first one being led by Brian Scott who ran a time of 31.249, a speed of 172.806. The second practice was led by Cale Conley who ran a time of 30.811, a speed of 175.262. In the first practice session, Conley came up in the 11th spot running a time of 31.589, a speed of 170.946. In the second practice session, Brian Scott came in the 11th spot as well (oh the irony) running a time of 31.247, a speed of 172.667

3:03 PM: As always, there will be a few Sprint Cup drivers running in tonight's race. They are Kasey Kahne, and Kyle Larson. The two usual suspects to drive in the Nationwide Series, Kyle Busch and Brad Keselowski are not racing tonight. Instead, driving the 22 car will be Ryan Blaney, and in the 54 car will be Sam Hornish Jr.

3:00 PM: Welcome to VAVEL USA's coverage of the EnjoyIllinois.com300 from the Chicagoland Speedway. This is a NASCAR Nationwide Series race sanctioned to go 300 miles, which will equal 200 laps around the 1.5 mile track in Joliet, Illinois. With no other NASCAR racing this weekend, this race takes the mainstage of the NASCAR world for the weekend. The Nationwide Series drivers are ehading under the light, and will face off against some of the sports top drivers as they fight for series supremacy. But what everyone is going to be looking for tonight is the checkered flag, and for their car to be driven into victory lane.
