After Kyle Busch won another race at Indianapolis, the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series moved to Long Pond, Pennsylvania for the Windows 10 400 at Pocono. Busch would look to continue his recent dominance in the series, and helped himself by winning the pole.

The first caution of the day came on Lap 4, when Kasey Kahne spun around and hit the inside wall neat pit road. The caution was the first of the day. Kahne was ok, although a piece of his car did become embedded in the wall near pit road. NASCAR did decide to display the red flag and temporarily stop the race in order to fix the wall where Kahne hit.

The race went back to green flag racing on Lap 9, the caution would return at Lap 15, but it was just a competition caution due to potential grease left over from the ARCA series race that took place on Saturday. Busch would fall to eleventh after pit stops in which the majority of teams took four tires and fuel, although Brad Keselowski and his team only took fuel. 10 cars did not pit, including Kevin Harvick, who would lead the field back to green on Lap 20.

The caution would return immediately as Havick blew his engine before they had even completed a lap of green flag racing. Kurt Busch led the field back to green on Lap 23, but that green flag run would only last for four laps before Ricky Stenhouse Jr. crashed hard into Sam Hornish Jr., who had slowed with what looked to be a engine issue before Stenhouse Jr crashed into him, bringing out the caution.

Kurt Busch led the field back to green on Lap 33. The race would stay green all the way up to and through green flag pit stops, which occurred around Lap 50. During the pit stops, Dale Earnhardt Jr. was assessed a penalty for being too fast, as well as both Busch brothers, who got the same penalties.

Brad Keselowski had a interesting pit stop, as he hit one of his crew members as he tried leaving his pit box. Everybody was ok, but Keselowski was assessed a penalty for a uncontrolled tire. That loose tire would make it's way onto the race track, which would bring out another caution flag on Lap 60. Joey Logano would lead the field back to green at Lap 65.

Before they had completed a full lap, the caution returned as Ku. Busch spun out, and was hit by Stenhouse.  The green flag returned on Lap 70, but came back out almost immediately, as Cole Whitt bumped Earnhardt Jr., sending him around and bringing out the caution. Logano would bring the field back to green on Lap 76.

The caution would return on Lap 91 when Alex Kennedy spun out in Turn 1. Once the field went back to green on Lap 98, they would stay green all the way to the end of the race, the longest green flag run of the day.

With two laps to go, Joey Logano had a slim lead over Ky. Busch, but Logano ran out of gas, allowing Ky. Busch to pass him and take the lead. Ky. Busch took the white flag with the lead, but he also ran out of gas, but tried to nurse it around to the finish line, but ended up being passed by Matt Kenseth, who would end up taking the checkered flag, and the win.

For Kenseth, it was his second win of the season, as well as his first win ever at Pocono. Rounding out the top 5 were Keselowski, Jeff Gordon, Earnhardt Jr., and Greg Biffle. Ky. Busch ended up finishing 21st, while Logano finished 20th.

Next week, the series travels to Watkins Glen for a road course race. VAVEL USA will have full coverage throughout the race week.
