After taking a week off for the Sprint All-Star race, the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series is staying in North Carolina. This time, they will race at the Coca-Cola 600, also known as the longest race of the season. Here are predictions from the VAVEL NASCAR team on who they think will win this weekend's race.

This week's picks

Here are the picks for this weekend's race.

Stevie Larson

Driver: Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Reason: "This weekend, he is running the same paint scheme as he did last July at Daytona, where he picked up the win. He also has yet to win a race this year, and I believe that this weekend is his time to go to victory lane."

Mark Smith

Driver: Kevin Harvick

Reason: "The driver of the #4 Chevrolet has had a good season up to this point in the year and I believe he will have the stamina to get to Victory Lane this week in the longest race of the season. The Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway is always a test but the Stewart-Haas Racing driver will pull out another good run this week."

Stephen Furst

Driver: Carl Edwards

Reason: "Carl won this race a year ago on fuel mileage. He's already been to victory lane twice this year and is hungry for more. If the race ends up with long green flag runs, look for Carl to be up front and doing a back flip at the end of the night."

Brandon Farris

Driver: Kyle Larson

Reason: "Two great runs recently and showed success during the All-Star Race. 600 miles is a long race but just got a gut feeling on this kid propelling his ticket to the chase in this race"
