After being on three different teams in a course of one year, Caron Butler agrees to a two-year, $9 million deal with the Detroit Pistons, according to ESPN. There's no indication whether Butler's deal includes a team or player option.

Caron Butler was traded to the Phoenix Suns last off-season, then immediately to the Milwaukee Bucks. The Bucks waived him mid-season when he joined the Oklahoma City Thunder with championship aspirations. Unfortunately, the Thunder’s season came to a halt in the Western Conference Finals.

Detroit will be Caron Butler’s eighth team in his 13 seasons. He averaged 9.7 points and 3.2 rebounds in 22 games for the Thunder last season.

Butler, mainly known for his three-point shooting, could provide veteran leadership to a young Pistons squad. He would more than likely play off the bench depending on Detroit’s ability to re-sign Greg Monroe.

Nonetheless, the Detroit Pistons are loading up on shooters and scorers this summer as they have also signed Jodie Meeks and D.J. Augustin. Greg Monroe’s stance with the team still remains in question, though.
