The Washington Wizards didn't wait long to replace Trevor Booker, who signed a 2-year, $10 million deal with the Utah Jazz earlier today. Booker was the Wizards go-to big man off the bench this past season, averaging 6.8 points and 5.3 rebounds in 21.6 minutes per game.

It has been reported that costless agent power forward Kris Humphries will sign a 3-year, $13 million deal with the Wizards with a team option for the third year. Humphries averaged 8.4 points and 5.9 rebounds per game coming off the bench for the Boston Celtics last season. The Wizards will acquire Humphries as part of a sign-and-trade with the Celtics. The terms of this deal have not yet been disclosed, but it is likely that the Wizards will send Boston part of the trade exception that they acquired in the sign-and-trade deal that sent Trevor Ariza to the Houston Rockets last week.

The 29-year-old Humphries is a good option for the Wizards, especially after the departure of Trevor Booker. He will likely be the first big man off the bench to take the load off of Marcin Gortat and Nene. The two-year deal with a team option for a third year also allows the Wizards to have salary cap flexibility moving forward.
