To nobody’s surprise, Tony Parker will sign a three-year, $43.3 million contract extension with the San Antonio Spurs, according to reports made by Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports. Parker will make $13.4 million the first year of his new contract, $14.4 million the second, and $15.4 million the final year. There are no options on Parker's extension.

Parker, 32, has spent all 13 years of his basketball career with the Spurs. He is entering the final year of his contract where he will make $12.5 million.

The four-time NBA champion averaged 16.7 points, 5.7 assists, and 2.3 rebounds last season with the Spurs. He has made a career with his mid-range shots, unstoppable floaters, speed, and nifty spin moves.

This is a great move for San Antonio, who won the NBA championship this past June. Tony Parker was bound to become an unrestricted costless agent next summer, but he will now avoid costless agency with this new deal.

Earlier in the summer, the Spurs signed their head coach Gregg Popovich to a contract extension as well. Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili have expiring contracts this season, but the two may retire after the end of the upcoming season.

Nonetheless, the San Antonio Spurs will at least hold on to Tony Parker for the next four years.
