Team USA managing director Jerry Colangelo and head coach Mike Krzyzewski have finalized the 12-man roster that will compete in the 2014 FIBA World Cup in Spain. Here are the players that made the team by position and their stat line from the 2013-2014 season.

  • Derrick Rose (21.8 points, 7.9 assists*)
  • Kyrie Irving (20.8 points, 6.1 assists)
  • Steph Curry (24.0 points, 8.5 assists)
  • DeMar DeRozan (22.7 points)
  • James Harden (25.4 points, 6.1 assists),
  • Klay Thompson (18.4 points)
  • Anthony Davis (20.8 points, 10.0 rebounds)
  • Kenneth Faried (13.7 points, 8.6 rebounds)
  • Rudy Gay (20.0 points, 6.0 rebounds)
  • DeMarcus Cousins (22.7 points, 11.7 rebounds)
  • Andre Drummond (13.5 points, 13.2 rebounds)
  • Mason Plumlee (7.4 points, 4.4 rebounds)

Kevin Durant, Kevin Love, and Blake Griffin pulled out of the team during the team's training camp and Paul George suffered a horrific leg injury during an intrasquad scrimmage. Their absences opened up spots for DeMar DeRozan, Rudy Gay, Andre Drummond, and Mason Plumlee; all were originally not expected to make the team.

The final roster includes six NBA All-Stars, and two members of the All-NBA team. Andre Drummond is the team's youngest player (21), and Rudy Gay is the oldest (28).

Damian Lillard, Gordon Hayward, Chandler Parsons, and Kyle Korver were cut from the 16-man roster that played in exhibition games against Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico on Wednesday and Friday. John Wall, Bradley Beal, and Paul Millsap were also cut earlier in the month.

Jerry Colangelo had this to say, "Since taking over the USA Basketball men's national team program in 2005, this was without doubt the most difficult selection process we've gone through. I can't stress enough the outstanding effort and commitment that has been given by each finalist. I also want to make it clear that this is not just about talent; each player is incredibly talented and each player offered us unique skills. In the end it was about assembling the best team, selecting guys who we felt would be able to best play the kind of style we envision this team playing."

Krzyzewski seemed confident in the selections, "I'm excited about the 12 players selected and feel we have excellent versatility and the makings of a really good defensive team."

Team USA will travel to Spain on Saturday. Their first game is August 30th vs. Finland.
