Weeks ago, former New York Knick, Toure Murry was closing in on a deal with the Utah Jazz, and he has now signed a two-year, $2 million deal with the team, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.

The first year of Murry’s contract is only $250,000 guaranteed and is non-guaranteed for the 2015-16 NBA season.

The New York Knicks had strong interest in Murry but failed to reach an agreement with the 24-year old due to the inability to clear roster and cap space for him.

Murry was quite impressive during the latter half of the season last year with the Knicks. He averaged 2.7 points and 1.0 assists in 7.3 minutes per game.

The Utah Jazz are lacking some backcourt depth this upcoming season. Therefore, the addition of Murry should benefit them greatly. However, since his deal is partially guaranteed, the Jazz have the option to waive him midway through the season if Murry is not playing up to his standards.
