In a game featuring zero current NBA players, Angola dominates Korea in an 80 to 69 victory in Gran Canaria, Spain.

The Koreans started the game off fast, jumping to an early 5-0 lead, while the Angolans were struggling as their first bucket came two minutes and 32 seconds into the game.

However, once the Angolans scored their first basket, they never looked back. From that point, they went on a 16 to 1 run to close out the first quarter. They held the Koreans to zero field goal makes in the last eight minutes and 14 seconds of the quarter.

The second quarter was no different. Angola outscored Korea 20 to 12 in that quarter and enjoyed an 18-point halftime lead.

Korea responded in the third quarter where they outscored Angola by 14 and cut Angola’s halftime lead down to four entering the fourth quarter.

However, Angola remained resilient and held on to their lead to finish out the game with an 11-point win.

Despite a sloppy game by the Angolans (16 turnovers), they dominated the three-point shooting and rebounding categories. Angola shot 47.1 percent from three-point territory versus the 28.1 percent that Korea shot. Angola had 46 rebounds to Korea’s 36.

Olimpio Cipriano scored 16 points for Angola to lead the way along with big man Yanick Moreira, who posted a double-double, scoring 16 points and snatching 10 boards. Eduardo Mingas chipped in with 14.

Korea was led by Sunhyung Kim’s 15 points on 53.8 percent shooting. Donggeun Yang put in 11.
