Christian: Tell me about your game, how do you feel?

Derrick Rose: I think my game has come along pretty good. I didnt have any turnups today so thats a good thing and I am just trying to stay consistent with my workout and just trying to stay consistent with shooting the ball.

Christian: Derrick do you feel the vibe in the city, not only here but over the 24-48 hours since team USA arrived and also the Bulls fans anticipating the new season ahead?

Derrick Rose: Yeah, its been great and its been really busy these past couple of days in Chicago, everyone has been asking for tickets and I think the arena is going to be sold out for the game on Saturday, I know all these players have a lot of family and friends coming to the game so its going to be exciting.

Christian: Upcoming regular season for the Bulls 2014-15 and off season moves, your thoughts?

Derrick Rose: Great just adding pieces like Pau with what he can bring to the game and adding him brings a different dimension to the game because we have a low post presence. I mean we have Taj but when you add a 7’0” like him and Joakim and Mike we will be set. This is the biggest Bulls team I have been on.

Christian: What do you believe is the solution to the violence that has plauged the city of Chicago?

Derrick Rose: I dont know if there is one thing you can point out, there are so many things and so many layers to it but the only thing you can say about it is if we want to change something then it is going to have to be us changing it. The people actually going through it have to change and everyone needs to be on the same page, its going to take more then one person.

Christian: Lets go back to draft night in 2008, the Chicago Bulls had a 1.7 percent chance of landing the top pick in the draft, the ping pong balls bouncing in favor of the Bulls and then you were selected. What did that mean to you to have the opportunity to play for your hometown team but at the same time having the responsibilty of being the face of the franchise?

Derrick Rose: At the time I really didnt think to much about it, I was just happy and being excited. Now that I am in my seventh year, I am just excited and it kinda easy for me. Usually when your in the NBA you are away from your family because you travel alot but for me its great because I am playing in front of my hometown. Everyone who supported me along the way up until this point comes to the games because majority of them live really close, so its kinda cool.

Christian: In your opinion who was the greatest basketball player to come from Chicago and why?

Derrick Rose: There are alot of great players that played the game before me but I dont think there is no way I could put any of them above me. I dont think any athlete should put another athlete above themselves especially while their playing, so I am going to have to say myself
