The Denver Nuggets have not done much this off-season. In fact, they have probably been the most inactive team this summer, making only a couple of moves.

On draft day, the Nuggets pulled off a trade, sending Evan Fournier and the 56th overall pick in the 2014 NBA draft to the Orlando Magic in exchange for Arron Afflalo.

Afflalo returns to the Nuggets, where he spent three seasons there earlier in his career. Fournier is young and has potential, but Afflalo established himself as a potent scorer with the Orlando Magic. Also, being around young players, he grew into a veteran leader.

Afflalo, 28, averaged 18.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 3.4 assists last season. He is certainly an upgrade and will more than likely take the starting two-guard role away from Randy Foye.

Other than the Afflalo trade, the Nuggets made a minor move by signing undrafted rookie Jerrelle Benimon to a partially guaranteed, two-year contract. It is unclear whether he would remain on the roster for the entire season, but he does add frontcourt depth.

The Denver Nuggets did not pursue many costless agents this summer. They have been extremely silent this off-season, but at least the Arron Afflalo move will slightly improve the team this upcoming season.
