Dahntay Jones has agreed to sign a training camp deal with the Utah Jazz, multiple sources have reported.

It is unclear whether Jones’ contract is partially guaranteed or non-guaranteed. However, the 33-year old has a good shot of making the team. He could provide perimeter defense and physicality.

A handful of teams were reportedly interested in Jones, including the Los Angeles Clippers, New York Knicks, and Philadelphia 76ers. In fact, the Sixers and Knicks had workouts planned for Jones, while the Clippers met with the 10-year veteran.

Jones has played for six different NBA teams and was most recently with the Dallas Mavericks. However, he did not play in the NBA last season.

The Utah Jazz now have 19 players on their training camp roster, including six players with non-guaranteed or partially guaranteed deals. Jones will be battling Toure’ Murry, Kevin Murphy, Dee Bost, Jack Cooley, and Brock Motum for a roster spot.
