We may be stuck in this conversation for most, if not all, of the 2014-2015 NBA season. Rajon Rondo has been in trade rumors for a long time now, and Danny Ainge just spoke on it once again.

"The possibility of a trade is not out of the question. Nobody is untradeable, but I don’t see that happening."

Ainge is always keeping his options open, which is good, but harmful to the fans and the team. It seems like Ainge is just toying with the media by making it unclear if he wants to trade Rondo or not, or he just has no idea if he wants to. He then went on to make another statement.

"The truthful answer is I really don’t know. I have no intention. I’m not trying to trade Rondo."

So the possibility of trading Rondo is not out of the question, but Ainge has no intention of trading Rondo. Confusing much? With the NBA season quietly approaching, this Rondo story will likely be the buzz for most of the season. Last year it was Kevin Love, this year it will be Rondo.

Ainge probably made the smart decision of outright saying Rondo is available. No GM wants to say that to public media. But, do not beat around the bush. We're all playing in Ainge's game, and we will likely be here a long while. After the Love trade rumors were out, it seemed Ainge was already stingy in trades. He won't trade more than the worth of a said player, so until Ainge gets something he loves, Rondo will be hanging out in Boston.
