According to ESPN's Marc Stein, Kevin Durant intends to play for Team USA in the 2016 Olympics in Brazil. Durent recently withdrew from Team USA last summer saying he was "physically and mentally drained from the NBA season and his attention to his many responsibilities."

“It was a very hard choice, because I wanted to play,” Durant said. “If it was just games (with Team USA), like straight games, it would have been perfect. But the travel and the practice and the shoot-a-rounds, it was something where I (said), ‘All right, I’ve got to really scale back a little bit and get ready for our season…’

Kevin Durant, the 2013-2014 MVP, definitely seemed physically and mentally tired throughout the playoffs and afterwards. The break from basketball will definitely help him for this upcoming season and it seemed inevitable that Durant would play for Team USA in the 2016 Olympics. Other notable stars like LeBron James will likely join in as well.
