Last season, Xavier Henry injured his knee during a game against the Philadelphia 76ers on December 29 and missed 28 games due to the injury. During the summer, Henry had surgery on both his knee and wrist.

Henry has missed all four of Los Angeles Lakers’ preseason games due to back spasms, but he has been present in the last couple of practices with the team. However, it seems like Henry’s knee is still bothering him.

Henry will travel to New York City to receive a second opinion on his knee from Dr. Keith Pyne. Following Dr. Pyne’s opinion, Henry will then travel to Germany to receive Regenokine treatment, according to Lakers reporter Mike Trudell.

Regenokine treatment is the same treatment Kobe Bryant received a couple years back for his knees. Kobe’s knees have been feeling much better since.

Xavier Henry will return to Los Angeles by October 24 with an update on his condition. The Lakers are hoping for good news as they’ve had an injury riddled preseason and cannot afford to lose Henry for an extended period of time.
