With the deadline to turn in final rosters looming, many teams have made roster cuts over the past two days.

The Boston Celtics waived Jarell Eddie Saturday afternoon. The team claimed Eddie on Thursday to take a close look at him, but his short stint with the Celtics is over. The Celtics roster now stands at 16, and all 16 have guaranteed contracts. Boston now has to make a choice whether to waive newly acquired guard Will Bynum or Vitor Faverani, who has also been rumored to be cut.

The Brooklyn Nets waived newly acquired point guard Casper Ware. They added Ware to the roster on Friday after trading Marquis Teague for him. The Nets now have 15 players on their roster.

The Charlotte Hornets cut Dallas Landerdale, Justin Cobbs, and Brian Qvale on Friday evening, trimming the roster to 15, all guaranteed contracts except for Jason Maxiell.

The Cleveland Cavaliers trimmed their roster to 15 as well after waiving Shane Edwards. They still have four non-guaranteed players, which most of them may make the roster.

The Dallas Mavericks made their roster cuts on Saturday afternoon. They waived Ivan Johnson, Doron Lamb, and Bernard James. James had a $915,000 guaranteed contract, but the Mavericks chose to stick with Charlie Villanueva, who has impressed the team during the preseason. Dallas’ roster now stands at 15.

The Golden State Warriors have cut down to 15 players as well. They waived Aaron Craft, Michael Watt, James Michael McAdoo, and Jason Kapono. Justin Holiday has solidified a roster spot, however.

The Houston Rockets waived Josh Powell a few days ago and have further cut down their roster. They waived Earl Clark a day after they claimed him off waivers. They also waived Robert Covington and Geron Johnson to cut their roster down to 17 players. The Rockets still have Tarik Black’s non-guaranteed contract and Patrick Beverley’s. No question that Beverley will stay, so the Rockets will have to look elsewhere to cut their roster down to 15.

The Los Angeles Clippers waived Joe Ingles Saturday afternoon, and they now have 15 players on their roster. Jared Cunningham is the only other non-guaranteed contract remaining on the roster, but he may make the opening day roster.

The Los Angeles Lakers waived Roscoe Smith and Jabari Brown, who are both likely to play in the D-League, to trim their roster to 15. The Lakers cannot waive Wayne Ellington or Ronnie Price since they are both injured right now and if waived, the Lakers will have to pay their full salary. However, both are likely to make the roster, injured or not.

The Memphis Grizzlies cut Kalin Lucas and Patrick Christopher to slim their roster down to 14. All remaining players are guaranteed, so the Grizzlies are set.

The Miami Heat waived Larry Drew II, Tyler Johnson, Khem Birch, and Shawn Jones, meaning Shannon Brown and Andre Dawkins have made the cut, for now. The Heat roster stands at 15.

The Minnesota Timberwolves released Brady Heslip on Saturday and now have 16 players on the roster, with Glen Robinson III being the only non-guaranteed contract. The Timberwolves are loaded with small forwards so expect him to be the final cut.

The New Orleans Pelicans have 15 players on their roster after waiving D.J. Stephens and Kevin Jones on Friday. Patric Young, Luke Babbitt, and Darius Miller have non-guaranteed contracts, but they may make the roster.

The New York Knicks waived D.J. Mbenga and Orlando Sanchez on Friday and Langston Galloway and Jordan Vandenberg on Saturday. Their roster currently stands at 16.

The Oklahoma City Thunder have decided to keep Lance Thomas to complete their 15-man roster after dropping Talib Zanna, Richard Solomon, and Michael Jenkins.

The Orlando Magic have slimmed their roster down to 15 after releasing Kadeem Batts, Drew Crawford, Seth Curry, and Peyton Siva. Dewayne Dedmon, the only non-guaranteed contract, remains on the roster for now.

The Philadelphia 76ers are stacked with non-guaranteed contracts even after they waived Drew Gordon, Ronald Roberts, and Malcolm Lee. The Sixers have 17 players on their roster now, in which seven of them are non-guaranteed players.

The Phoenix Suns solidified their roster on Saturday morning after waiving the only non-guaranteed player on their roster, Earl Barron. They now have 15 players.

The Portland Trail Blazers also solidified their roster by releasing the two non-guaranteed players on the team, Darius Morris and Diante Garrett. They, too, have 15 players on their roster.

The San Antonio Spurs made their final cuts on Saturday after dropping JaMychal Green, Fuquan Edwin, and Robert Vaden. They now have 15 guaranteed players, almost the same roster as last season with the exception of rookie Kyle Anderson.

The Toronto Raptors made two cuts on Saturday, waiving Jordan Hamilton and Will Cherry. They have 15 players, with Greg Stiemsma the only non-guaranteed player.

The Utah Jazz released Theron Bussey and Brock Motum to cut down to 14 players. Toure’ Murry is the only non-guaranteed player left, but he may make the roster.

Lastly, the Washington Wizards waived Damion James, Xavier Silas, and John Lucas III to shave their roster down to 15. Rasual Butler may make the cut since the Wizards are suffering from injuries to their backcourt.

All final roster cuts must be done by Monday, October 27. The regular season begins October 28.
