After four years, we finally saw LeBron James back in Cleveland. The Cavaliers hosted the Knicks in their home opener. Many expected the Cavaliers to destroy the New York Knicks team  that lost by 24 points against the Bulls. However, the Knicks managed to stun LeBron and the Cavaliers by defeating them 95-90.

It seemed in this game that LeBron James left his talents in South Beach. James finished the game with 17 points, but he only shot 5-15 and committed 8 turnovers. LeBron James didn't get much help from his teammates as the Cavaliers committed 19 turnovers as a team. The Cavaliers didn't look very sharp with their new team and only Kyrie Irving had a good game. Irving finished with 22 points on 14 shots. Carmelo Anthony finished the game with 25 points and was the leading scorer for New York.

The Cavaliers got off to a great start and lead by nine points at the end of the first quarter. It seemed that the game would stay this way with the Cavaliers easily defeating the Knicks, but the Knicks regrouped and got back in the game. The Knicks forced many turnovers and found their offensive groove. New York then slowly got itself the lead in the third quarter.

The Cavaliers continued to try to get back in the game but could not do it. It seemed that the Knicks were too consistent on offense for the Cavaliers to handle. Cleveland eventually cut the lead down to three but Kevin Love couldn't hit a wide open three to tie the game. Carmelo Anthony then hit a jump shot late in the game to give the Knicks the victory. Derek Fisher earned his first victory as a coach.

New York will look for another victory as they will next play the Hornets on November 2. Cleveland will try to earn their first victory on October 31 against a very good Bulls team.
