3rd Quarter (:00): Superb quarter by the Lakers though. They had 34 points and only two turnovers.

3rd Quarter (:01): Jamal Crawford hits a long, long three near the end of the buzzer.

3rd Quarter (1:02): Griffin takes Sacre in the midpost for two.

3rd Quarter (2:28): Hill finishing in traffic over Hawes and Griffin. Lin is doing a wonderful job of controlling the offense tonight.

3rd Quarter (2:57): Clippers - 78 Lakers - 81.

3rd Quarter (3:31): Griffin has the last 11 points for the Clippers.

3rd Quarter (4:45): The Lakers were having a team conference and the ball was inbounded and Griffin got an open dunk. They did not know that the game was in play.

3rd Quarter (4:52): The Lakers are moving the ball around really well. That's what has given them the lead.

3rd Quarter (5:11): Jordan picks up his fourth foul as well.

3rd Quarter (5:25): And then he gets over muscled by Griffin on defense.

3rd Quarter (5:40): Hill is on fire! Another jumper.

3rd Quarter (5:56): Hill picks up his fourth foul. Boozer and Johnson both have four as well.

3rd Quarter (8:13): Lin bangs home a three.

3rd Quarter (8:45): Hill with a nice throw down over Griffin. Griffin has three fouls, so he is not trying to be too aggressive.

3rd Quarter (9:04): Barnes stops the bleeding with a three from the corner.

3rd Quarter (9:38): Clippers ice cold. Jordan Hill gives the Lakers the lead.

3rd Quarter (10:34): Lin starts the half with a flip shot. He's helping a lot tonight with 11 points.

2nd Quarter (:00): Clippers - 62 Lakers - 56.

2nd Quarter (:01): Poor defense by the Lakers, not getting back on defense and fouling Hawes.

2nd Quarter (:29): Lin with a high arcing floater over Jordan is good.

2nd Quarter (1:06): Clippers - 57 Lakers - 51.

2nd Quarter (3:27): Boozer answers with a left handed finish and one.

2nd Quarter (3:44): Griffin with an open dunk. Breakdown on defense for Lakers.

2nd Quarter (7:16): Price again.

2nd Quarter (7:47): Clippers - 44 Lakers - 33.

1st Quarter (4:00): Kobe still not getting help and Griffin killing the Lakers as expected.

1st Quarter (4:12): Clippers - 25 Lakers - 12.

1st Quarter (4:19): Seven assists by Paul already.

1st Quarter (6:00): Lakers already down 10.

1st Quarter (12:00): This game has started, but we will get to it after the conclusion of the Cavs/Bulls game.

10:41 P.M. EST: Bulls/Cavaliers game still going on...

10:29 P.M. EST: Looks like this game might start a little late as the game before (Bulls/Cavaliers) may go to overtime.

9:42 P.M. EST: Kobe has said that he will be patient with the Lakers and is not worried. However, this team is very limited with talent. It is going to be a long season for Kobe and the Lakers.

8:45 P.M. EST: That's why it will be a good idea to bring Lin off the bench. He has been struggling but during the preseason, he was scoring nicely off the bench and facilitating the offense as well.

8:44 P.M. EST: Wayne Ellington was another bright spot in the Lakers' loss against the Suns. He will have to follow that solid performance with another one. The Clippers bench is deep, and they have the former sixth man of the year, Jamal Crawford. Someone on the Lakers bench will have to match his scoring. Xavier Henry and Ellington will have to answer that call, that's if Henry plays. He did not play last game because Coach Scott maybe felt that Henry is not ready yet since he struggled on Tuesday night.

8:43 P.M. EST: Kobe Bryant scored 31 points in his last game. Can he repeat that performance? It may all depend on how much help he receives. Who will defend KobeMatt Barnes may have the task of defending Kobe in this one.

8:42 P.M. EST: Despite the Clippers struggling with their three-point shooting against the Thunder for the most part, don't expect them to struggle in this game. The Lakers struggling defending the three as well. The Suns were a plus-36 from beyond the arc on Wednesday against the Lakers. The Clippers could simply do the same. On the other end, the Lakers, as advised by Coach Scott, don't take many three pointers. They have gone from one of the best three-point shooting teams last season to one of the worst this season.

8:41 P.M. EST: However, the Lakers will find it really hard to matchup against the Clippers. They don't have the size to stop Griffin, and the perimeter defense to keep Paul out of the paint. The Suns guards ate the Lakers alive on Wednesday night with their penetration, dribble drives, and three-point shooting.

8:40 P.M. EST: The tables have certainly turned in Los Angeles. Remember when the Clippers would always have misfortunate seasons, filled with injuries and low expectations. The Lakers are in that position right now, but they still have Kobe Bryant and this is a cross town matchup, so there will always be some excitement in the building.

8:39 P.M. EST: Rebounding is going to be an important factor in this game. Surprisingly, the Clippers were out-rebounded last night by 14 against a shorthanded Thunder team. They will surely not repeat that process again. The Lakers are undersized and don't have any athletic players in their starting lineup. You could expect Jordan and Griffin to work the offensive glass all game long.

8:38 P.M. EST: Having played last night, the Clippers would probably look to go for the kill in this one, so they could rest their starters in the fourth quarter.

8:37 P.M. EST: The Lakers have had a really tough schedule to begin the season. They will soon complete four games in five nights against plus .500 teams. They have lost their first two games by an average of 19. If no one steps up to help Kobe, then this one could turn into a blowout in a hurry as well.

8:36 P.M. EST: Who will help Kobe Bryant on offense? That's been a common question of late. Jeremy Lin and Carlos Boozer, who are supposed to be the second and third scoring options, have been playing poorly. As a matter of fact, Boozer is coming of a four-point, eight-turnover night against the Phoenix Suns.

8:35 P.M. EST: Ed Davis has been one lone bright spot for the Lakers outside of Kobe Bryant. He should see a lot of minutes in this one because he's really the only one who could match Jordan and Griffin's athleticism. In fact, he should be on the floor more than Boozer, who is really undersized.

8:34 P.M. EST: It wouldn't be a bad idea if the Lakers started Ronnie Price in this one. Price has been a pest on defense, and it would be good if he started the game out defending Chris Paul, while Jeremy Lin, who has been struggling mightily, could maybe come off the bench and provide some offensive fire power.

8:33 P.M. EST: It would actually be interesting to see who the Lakers put on Griffin to begin the game. Jordan Hill will probably do a better job on Griffin defensively rather than Carlos Boozer but if Boozer is going to stick DeAndre Jordan, he will have to box him out to prevent offensive rebounds.

8:32 P.M. EST: The Clippers really struggled with their shooting Thursday night. Look for them to come out firing early in this one. J.J. Redick is one who shot poorly, going 1-of-10 against the Thunder. He may bounce back in this game. Blake Griffin got off to a slow start and picked it up in the second half. You could expect Griffin to come out the gates strong against the Lakers, who have struggled defending the pick and roll.

8:31 P.M. EST: The Los Angeles Clippers played the Oklahoma City Thunder last night, and barely got past them, despite the Thunder being without Kevin Durant and losing Russell Westbrook to a hand injury in the first half.

8:30 P.M. EST: Welcome to VAVEL_USA's LIVE of the Los Angeles Clippers and the Los Angeles Lakers.
