Brooklyn Nets’ Deron Williams has been named Eastern Conference Player of the Week, while Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry has been named Western Conference Player of the Week, the NBA has announced.

Deron Williams averaged 20.8 points, 7.0 assists, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.0 steals during the week where the Nets played four games. Williams paced the Nets to a 3-1 record for the week. He dropped 29 points and six assists against the New York Knicks this past Friday. In addition, Williams has had an efficient week, shooting 56.8 percent from the field. This is Williams’ first time being named player of the week since November of 2010.

In just three games during the week, Stephen Curry averaged 30.0 points, 7.3 assists, 6.0 rebounds, and 3.3 steals per game. He led the Warriors to a 2-1 record for the week. Curry was also efficient, shooting 56.1 percent from the field. Last week, Klay Thompson, Curry’s backcourt mate, was named player of the week. This week, it was Curry who had incredibly great performances.
