7:14 P.M. EST: The game will start in a minute anyway.

7:09 P.M. EST: This game is supposed to start in a minute, but the college game on ESPN is still going on.

9:16 P.M. EST: Jordan Clarkson should see plenty of minutes tonight.

8:55 P.M. EST: The Lakers are also giving up the most points in the paint, allowing 47.5 points per game.

8:35 P.M. EST: Ryan Kelly will indeed play tonight.

8:15 P.M. EST: The Lakers need to spend a lot of energy in this game to beat the defending champs. The bad thing is that they don't have much of a bench. The Lakers are not even going to have a true back up point guard for this game. The starters should see heavy minutes once again. The good thing is that the Lakers had a rest Thursday night and have another one Saturday. They could maybe go all out in this game, but it does not look good for them.

8:14 P.M. EST: Tony Parker is going to be a huge concern for the Lakers. First, the Lakers have troubles with quick, nifty point guards. Second, the Lakers are awful at defending penetrating point guards. Lastly, Parker loves playing pick and pop or pick and rolls with Duncan. The Lakers have also been poor defensively trying to defend pick and rolls and pick and pops. Duncan could get open looks all day if him and Parker run their famous two-man game.

NBA Live Scores and Results

8:13 P.M. EST: The Lakers are one of the worst rebounding teams in the league this season, ranked 26th. Rebounding is going to be a constant key for them to rack up victories. That and of course their atrocious defense.

8:12 P.M. EST: For the Lakers to have a chance in this one, they will have to force turnovers to get easy points in transition. The Spurs love to slow the game down and move the ball around in half court sets. The ball always moves faster than the players, so the Lakers will have to be sharp on their rotations.

San Antonio Spurs - Los Angeles Lakers

8:11 P.M. EST: On a side note, Gregg Popovich may chose to rest some of his starters since the Spurs play again on Saturday against the Kings. This would be the best chance for Popovich to rest his players and not really worry about them losing.

8:10 P.M. EST: This game is special for Kobe Bryant and Tim Duncan as the two will face off for the 48th time throughout their careers, wearing the same uniform. The two have a lot of miles on their body and have come a long way since being drafted in 1996 and 1997 respectively.

8:09 P.M. EST: The Lakers are still dead last in opponents field goal percentage and points per game, giving up 111.5 points on 49.8 percent shooting. Surprisingly, San Antonio is not efficient offensively, ranked number 24 in field goal percentage. That is unusual for a Gregg Popovich coached team, but it's thanks to their slow start.

San Antonio Spurs - Los Angeles Lakers Live Score, Stats, and Results

8:08 P.M. EST: The Spurs have started off the season slowly, but they proved that they are still the team to beat in their last two games. They are not going to take their foot off the gas pedal this game. Gregg Popovich will probably advise his players to dominate early, so the starters could get a lot of rest in the second half.

8:07 P.M. EST: The starters for the Lakers have been solid offensively the last two games, scoring in double figures back-to-back games. However, the Lakers defense is still miserable. They are still allowing wide open threes and easy lay ups time and time again. If that's going to be the case tonight, the Lakers will have no chance.

Live Score and Result of San Antonio Spurs - Los Angeles Lakers

8:06 P.M. EST: On a positive note for the Lakers, Nick Young is expected to return next week during the team's three-game road trip. Though, that has no effect on this game, where the Lakers are likely to get blown out again.

8:05 P.M. EST: For the Spurs, Taigo Splitter (back/calf), Marco Belinelli (groin), and Patty Mills (shoulder) will all remain out. However, the Spurs bench is still much better with Manu Ginobili and Boris Diaw making up a lot of the scoring and play making.

8:04 P.M. EST: The Lakers bench is going to be extremely thin in this game as Ronnie Price has been suspended one game for hitting Austin Rivers in the side of the head, Wayne Ellington is still in Philadelphia dealing with personal matters, and Ryan Kelly's status is still unknown.

2014 NBA Results

8:03 P.M. EST: Kobe Bryant was doing a lot of scoring during the Lakers' last two games. He averaged 30.5 points, 5.5 assists, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.5 steals on the team's two-game road trip, but he has been highly inefficient, shooting just 37 percent from the field.

8:02 P.M. EST: Kawhi Leonard has played extremely well the last two games, averaging 22.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 2.0 steals on 58.6 percent shooting. There is no question that he will be the primary defender on Kobe Bryant throughout the night.
