Final: The Lakers fall to 3-10 on the season, while the Mavericks improve to 10-3. The Lakers finish their road trip with 2 wins and 1 loss.

Final: The Mavericks are the best offensive team, and they showed exactly why, putting up 140 points.

Final: Barea made a huge difference in the second quarter with his quickness and penetration. He was breaking down the Lakers defense at ease.

Final: Kobe Bryant had an off night. Just 17 points, seven assists, and five rebounds on 6-of-22 shooting.

Final: The Mavs were a plus-39 from threes.

Final: The Mavericks shot 62.2 percent from the field, including 51.4 percent from the three-point line.

Final: The Lakers avoid their worst loss to the Mavericks, which was 36.

Final: Lakers - 106 Mavericks - 140.

4th Quarter (:25): Lakers - 104 Mavericks - 140.

4th Quarter (1:57): Another three by the Mavericks. They are just demolishing the Lakers with their outside shooting.

4th Quarter (2:40): How about that. Barea pulls up for a long, high arcing three to beat the shot clock buzzer. They have 17 threes as a team.

4th Quarter (3:13): Mavericks, the best offensive team, already have 132 points up on the board.

4th Quarter (4:01): Even the Mavericks bench is executing really well and knocking down threes.

4th Quarter (4:49): Dallas' bench is so deep too.

4th Quarter (5:55): Lakers - 92 Mavericks - 123.

4th Quarter (7:06): Barea splashes another three. As expected, he has been the X-Factor. He has killed the Lakers with his quickness and penetration.

4th Quarter (7:43): Charlie Villanueva on the floor. He has really spent a lot of time at a tattoo parlor of late. He has full sleeves on both arms.

4th Quarter (7:54): Rick Carlisle calling quick timeouts. Maybe wants to take a couple of players out with this timeout.

4th Quarter (8:28): Lakers - 88 Mavericks - 119.

4th Quarter (9:46): The thing about the Mavericks is that, not only do they have so many weapons, but they have a good mixture of everything - athleticism, three-point shooters, play makers, defenders, scorers, and quick guards. The only thing they really lack is a low post player.

4th Quarter (10:04): The Lakers still using zone on defense.

4th Quarter (10:25): You have to love the way Jordan Clarkson plays, though. He always gives 100% effort on both ends of the floor.

4th Quarter (11:11): Wayne Ellington is on the floor by the way. He wasn't supposed to play but since it's a blowout, he will get minutes to get back into rhythm.

4th Quarter (11:17): It's garbage time!

3rd Quarter (:00): Lakers - 83 Mavericks - 110.

3rd Quarter (:32): Another three for the Mavericks. They've got six threes in this quarter.

3rd Quarter (1:34): Parsons hits another three.

3rd Quarter (2:03): Davis, even though he was a bit in foul trouble, should have received more minutes. They needed his length and defense on Nowitzki.

3rd Quarter (2:03): The Mavericks have too many weapons.

3rd Quarter (2:50): Parsons gets a three to go. Then the Lakers turn it over, which results into a layup. The Mavs have 100 points up on the board.

3rd Quarter (3:58): Another three by Ellis. It's up to 20. Yup, this is the best offense in the league.

3rd Quarter (4:33): Ellis has gotten started. Horrible zone defense by the Lakers.

3rd Quarter (5:36): Great perimeter passing by the Mavericks results into an Ellis three.

3rd Quarter (6:00): Lakers - 71 Mavericks - 84.

3rd Quarter (6:14): Parsons attacks the rim. The Mavs are just more aggressive.

3rd Quarter (6:37): The problem is that the Lakers cannot play defense...without fouling.

3rd Quarter (6:56): Kobe hits a corner jumper, cuts the Mavs lead to eight.

3rd Quarter (7:40): Nowitzki hits another. Boozer's defense is non-existent.

3rd Quarter (8:15): Nowitzki now finds Parsons after another defensive breakdown.

3rd Quarter (8:35): Kobe has seven assists in this game.

3rd Quarter (8:53): Lakers - 65 Mavericks - 75. The Lakers are battling, but they just cannot get stops.

3rd Quarter (9:48): Ellis hits a jump shot, and the Mavs on a mini 6-0 run.

3rd Quarter (10:22): Poor defense. Kobe lets Parsons get all the way to the rim on a give and go play.

3rd Quarter (10:46): Dirk swishes home another jumper.

3rd Quarter (11:07): Jordan Hill picks up a loose ball now, and puts it in.

3rd Quarter (11:40): Jordan Hill gets a double-double off the offensive rebound and finds Johnson for a dunk.

2nd Quarter (:00): Lakers - 59 Mavericks - 68.

2nd Quarter (:32): Nelson hits a long three. Everyone having a coming out party against the Lakers poor defense.

2nd Quarter (:40): Young attacks the rim and finishes around Wright.

2nd Quarter (1:17): Kobe hits a three.

2nd Quarter (1:54): Lakers - 54 Mavericks - 64.

2nd Quarter (2:11): Finally, Young now gets his first field goal of the game.

2nd Quarter (2:55): Ellis floats a two in the lane.

2nd Quarter (3:30): Wright always has huge games against the Lakers.

2nd Quarter (3:58): Lin then hits a three. He now has the hot hand.

2nd Quarter (4:19): Lin fires up another jump shot.

2nd Quarter (4:56): Kobe makes his first field goal.

2nd Quarter (5:12): Then the Lakers leave Chandler open for a dunk.

2nd Quarter (5:35): Lin with an athletic, reverse layup.

2nd Quarter (5:49): Lakers - 40 Mavericks - 53.

2nd Quarter (6:14): Aminu a strong move in transition to score.

2nd Quarter (6:41): Aminu hits a short jumper.

2nd Quarter (6:58): Kobe throws up another air ball from way downtown.

2nd Quarter (7:56): Lakers have Johnson on Dirk.

2nd Quarter (8:50): Lakers - 36 Mavericks - 47.

2nd Quarter (9:11): Dirk hits a three after Hill hit a low post shot on the other end.

2nd Quarter (9:43): Another alley-oop play by Barea and Wright.

2nd Quarter (10:35): Barea, as mentioned, breaking down the Lakers defense and tosses an alley-oop to Wright.

2nd Quarter (10:57): Lakers - 32 Mavericks - 40.

2nd Quarter (11:14): Then Johnson hits a jumper and gets fouled. Quick 5-0 run by the Lakers.

2nd Quarter (11:44): Sacre starts the second quarter for the Lakers with a jumper.

1st Quarter (:00): Lakers - 27 Mavericks - 38.

1st Quarter (:04): Sacre gives the ball away towards the end of the quarter, and then he fouls Crowder who hits the shot and a foul. Crowder missed the costless throw, but the Mavs got the offensive rebound and hit a three. Incredible. 7-0 run in five seconds for the Mavs.

1st Quarter (1:04): Crowder knocks down a three. Mavs have four this game.

1st Quarter (1:27): Davis tips Kobe's miss. Kobe is 0-for-7.

1st Quarter (2:10): Brandan Wright has been incredibly hot this season, as he gets one to go.

1st Quarter (2:25): Ed Davis gets spoon fed by Kobe.

1st Quarter (2:52): Lakers - 21 Mavericks - 25.

1st Quarter (11:28): Boozer gets the Lakers started.

1st Quarter (12:00): We are underway!

8:40 P.M. EST: Beat L.A. chants already.

8:20 P.M. EST: This will be a very huge win for the Lakers if they do win. Imagine how big it would be for this Lakers team who has been struggling to walk away with a victory.

7:51 P.M. EST: Dallas' point guard depth has been great. They will, however, be without Devin Harris (leg) and Raymond Felton, who is still serving his suspension, but they still have two other point guards to run the show.

7:40 P.M. EST: The Mavericks would probably like to put the Lakers away early in this game, as they have another game tomorrow against a tougher opponent, the Houston Rockets.

7:24 P.M. EST: Wayne Ellington will be available tonight, as he joined the team last night after missing a few games due to personal reasons. However, Byron Scott may not play Ellington since he has been away for so long.

6:43 P.M. EST: The Lakers will have to contain Monta Ellis in this one. He has scored over 30 points in two of his last three games. Another problem the Lakers may have is containing Dirk Nowitzki who has the length to size up over an undersized Boozer. The Lakers may possibly use Jordan Hill on him, or maybe they could give Ed Davis more minutes, as Davis would be a more preferable matchup against Dirk.

6:42 P.M. EST: Mark Cuban recently made a statement about the Lakers. "I just hope (the Lakers) suck forever," said Cuban. The last time Cuban trash talked to Kobe and the Lakers, Kobe went off on his team and put up 38 points, 12 rebounds, and seven assists on 62 percent shooting. The thing that Cuban said last time was that the Lakers should amnesty Kobe Bryant. Surely, after his monster performance, Kobe Tweeted, "Amnesty that." Let's see if Cuban is going to light another fire under Kobe.

6:41 P.M. EST: As good as the Mavericks are offensively, they are average defensively. They rank bottom five in three-point defense, 23rd in rebounding, and are in the middle of the pack in opponent points per game and field goal percentage.

6:40 P.M. EST: As far as match ups go, the Mavericks are expected to stick Chandler Parsons, one of the best perimeter defenders, on Kobe. That means Monta Ellis would have the task of defending Wesley Johnson. Johnson doesn't have much of a post game but with someone as small as Ellis defending them, here is where he will have to try and take advantage to punish the Mavericks.

6:39 P.M. EST: The ball movement has been solid for the Lakers in their last two games. They will need to continue to share the ball in this one to have success. Obviously, it cannot be the Kobe Bryant one man show against a Dallas team that would surely take advantage of that.

6:38 P.M. EST: Jordan Hill has put up four straight double-doubles, as he has been terrific of late as well. He leads the league in offensive rebounding, and it's all thanks to his energy and hustle.

6:37 P.M. EST: J.J. Barea has played well of late, averaging 12.0 points and 6.0 assists per game in his last three games. He could be the X-Factor for the Mavs. He has always given the Lakers fits with his quickness and ability to break down L.A.'s defense. Maybe Ronnie Price could check in off the bench to shut Barea down and stop him from carving up the Lakers defense.

6:36 P.M. EST: What Young brings is a consistent second scorer on the team. The Lakers were struggling to find that scorer to play alongside Kobe for the first 10 games of the season. It is, of couse, because Jeremy Lin and Carlos Boozer have been extremely inconsistent.

6:35 P.M. EST: For the Lakers, they have found some rhythm of late with Nick Young back into the lineup. Young has brought scoring, three-point shooting, spacing, and most importantly, energy and enthusiasm off the bench. He has averaged 16.5 points in two games played. With him back, Kobe has had the luxury to take a step back and let Young do his own thing on offense.

6:34 P.M. EST: It's early in the season, but the Mavericks are nearly flawless in multiple categories, hench the reason they are 9-3 on the season, third best in the West.

6:33 P.M. EST: How great have the Mavericks been? They rank number one in scoring, averaging 108.9 points per game. They also rank number one in points per game differential with a plus-10.4. They rank number two in field goal percentage right behind the Golden State Warriors, shooting 48.6 percent. They are top five in costless throw percentage, hitting 80.2 percent of their costlessbies. They are also top five in assists, dishing out nearly 24 assists a game. They also take care of the ball really well, turning it over only 10.7 times per game, which is second best. Lastly, they have the sixth best bench in the NBA, as they get 38.3 points per game from their bench. That's what the Lakers are up against.

6:32 P.M. EST: Speaking of winning streaks, the Dallas Mavericks currently own a five-game winning streak and are looking to make it six. They have played as a team and are clicking on all cylinders. The chemistry is great, and everyone has bought into the system.

6:31 P.M. EST: The Lakers are coming into this game with a two-game winning streak in wins against the Atlanta Hawks and Houston Rockets. Those are two pretty impressive wins, and they will look to make it three straight against the Mavericks, who have been playing excellent basketball of late.

6:30 P.M. EST: Welcome to VAVEL_USA's Live of the Los Angeles Lakers and Dallas Mavericks.
