There should be no more doubt that the Golden State Warriors have arrived as one of the elite teams in the NBA. By passing on a trade for Kevin Love in the summer that would have likely sent Klay Thompson to the Minnesota Timberwolves, the core of the team was essentially retained. There are many skeptics to the idea that a team could improve dramatically in a year of time if no major personnel changes were made. So far this season, the Warriors are proving those skeptics wrong as they entered tonight's matchup against the Utah Jazz with the second best record in the Western Conference with an 8-2 record, while also playing without their starting power forward, David Lee, who has been out so far this season with a hamstring injury.

Rarely do teams get multiple days off in between games during the NBA season, but the Warriors had just that as they last played on Sunday, November 16. The age old question of whether extra rest is an advantage or whether it is a detriment due to the possibility of some rust showing up has been put to test tonight.

There wasn't much rust on this Warriors team as they blew out the Utah Jazz and proved that a few days rest could be a good thing.

The final score of 101-88 doesn't do justice to the pure dominance the Warriors displayed. After three quarters, they led the Jazz 85-57 and played the fourth quarter going deep into their bench, using only one starter in Harrison Barnes.

The Jazz had no answer to the Warriors stifling defense in the first half, as they stubbornly kept trying to force the action inside and kept coming away empty handed, as they were limited to only 32 first half points.

Andre Iguodala had his best offensive performance of the season thus far, dropping in 17 points on 7-of-8 shooting. Klay Thompson, Harrison Barnes, and Marreese Speights each added 14 points, while Barnes also added 11 rebounds for a double-double. Draymond Green had an all-around game with 11 points, nine rebounds, five assists, and three steals. Stephen Curry wasn't depended on to score many points, as he finished with only eight points, but he was still able to be a great facilitator, dishing out 10 assists.

Enes Kanter led all scorers with 18 points on 8-of-10 shooting in only 20 minutes of play time. Rudy Gobert and Gordon Hayward each chipped in 12 points. Derrick Favors added 10 points and nine rebounds.

The Warriors next play against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday, November 23. The Utah Jazz next play the New Orleans Pelicans tomorrow, November 22.
