The struggling New York Knicks will begin a three-game road trip starting Monday night when they head to the Toyota Center to take on the red hot Houston Rockets. Both teams are coming off wins Saturday night. The Knicks took on the winless Philadelphia 76ers at Madison Square Garden and handed them their 13th consecutive lose to start the season. While the Houston Rockets battled their Texas Rivals, the Dallas Mavericks, and got their 10th win of the season with a 95-92 victory.

The Rockets were without their star center Dwight Howard, who is still dealing with some knee issues and is doubtful against the New York Knicks Monday night. Houston's other star player had a big game against Dallas, dropping 32 points in 37 minutes and going 8-of-18 from the field, making four out of nine three-point shots and got to the costless throw line for a game-high 13 times, making 12 of them. Patrick Beverley chipped in with 20 points, helping the Rockets get the win.

The New York Knicks welcomed back Jose Calderon, who made his season debut against the Philadelphia 76ers. Coach Derek Fisher didn't waste any time putting Calderon in the starting lineup, playing him 21 minutes in his first game as a Knick. Carmelo Anthony played very well again, shooting 50 percent from the field with 25 points and was a game-high plus-20 in his 38 minutes of action. Amar'e Stoudemire played just under 20 minutes but had a very productive game, achieving a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Stoudemire is feeling very spry, as he is finally healthy this season and is playing a good role for the Knicks off the bench. Shane Larkin did not play (coach's decision) after being thrust into the starting line up with Calderon missing the first 13 games of the season.

The Rockets are in the midst of a five-game home stand when they host the New York Knicks. New York's next three games are the Houston Rockets, Dallas Mavericks, and Oklahoma City Thunder. Houston's next three games are the Knicks, Sacramento Kings, and Los Angeles Clippers.

The Knicks and Rockets tip-off at 8 PM EST.
