On the second night of a back-to-back after being destroyed by Memphis, the Los Angeles Clippers defeated the Charlotte Hornets by a score of 113-92 at the Time Warner Cable Arena on Monday evening.

It was a complete performance for Clippers, as six starters scored in double digits, with three of them scoring 20 points or more, which is really remarkable for any team no matter who they are playing against. However, it was Chris Paul who stole the show again, as he ended the night with an amazing 15 assists while also putting up 22 points. Blake Griffin was just as amazing, as he flirted with a triple-double, scoring 22 points, snatching 16 rebounds, and dishing out nine assists. J.J. Redick had one of his better games of the season, as he made 4-of-9 from beyond the arc and finished the night with 17 points. He also made all three of his costless throws.

"When you see J.J. and those guys getting open threes like that, it's not because I did anything special, it's because our bigs did a great job rolling," said Chris Paul after the game.

Charlotte played fairly decently tonight, except for one major flaw in their game. They could not shoot the ball from beyond the arc to save their lives. Only Marvin Williams and Brian Roberts made three pointers, as the team put up 20 attempts from behind the three-point line. It was their shot selection that let the Hornets down in this game, as they completed an abysmal 41 percent from the field. The Hornets have been in a major slump as of late, and it does not look like they are going to get out of it anytime soon.

"We can't lose our spirit. To be a good team in this league it takes a lot of things but your best players have to be prideful and hard players. Al and Kemba tonight showed again they're going to fight for this and they're going to try hard to get this turned around," Charlotte Hornets head coach Steve Clifford said following their loss tonight.

The Clippers, who improve to 8-5, will continue their road trip as they head on over to Michigan to play the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday evening, while the Charlotte Hornets, who drop to 4-11, will look to rebound against the surging Portland Trail Blazers that same day.
