The Knicks came into the game looking to expand their offensive game after falling to the Dallas Mavericks in a heartbreaking overtime loss. They were looking to build their chemistry, as they are starting to get a grasp on their offensive scheme. However, as the game went on, it looked as if they took two steps back instead one step forward.

Russell Westbrook exploded out of the gate, outscoring the Knicks by himself in the first quarter with 14 points in just eight minutes. He showed that he was ready to play after missing 14 games, and he seems like he's ready to lead the Thunder until Kevin Durant returns. The Knicks, however, played a horrible game. In just the first quarter, they only scored 13 points and shot 18.2 percent from the field. They had a tough time making any threes as they went 0-of-8 in the first quarter and 2-of-19 for the game, shooting 10.5 percent.

They shot 38.7 percent from the field, as they had a hard time finding their shots. The Thunder shut down Jose Calderon and Amar'e Stoudemire, which led to Samuel Dalembert trying to carry the scoring load for the Knicks. He had the first five points for the Knicks. He ended the game with nine points and seven rebounds. The Knicks leading scorer was Amar'e Stoudemire with 20 points and nine rebounds. Tim Hardaway Jr. had 11 points albeit on 4-for-14 shooting. The Knicks were out-rebounded by the Thunder 33-57, and they trailed by as much as 37 points in a game they never led.

It seems as if the Knicks' struggles will continue as they attempt to compete without Carmelo Anthony. If Jose Calderon, Amar'e Stoudemire, J.R. Smith, and Iman Shumpert fail to showcase their ability to score, the Knicks will continue to fall to the bottom of the Eastern Conference.

Russell Westbrook led all scorers with 32 points, eight assists, and seven rebounds.

The New York Knicks will look to bounce back, as they return to Madison Square Garden for their three-game home stand. They will take on the Miami Heat on Sunday, November 30.
