Detroit Pistons scored against the Toronto Raptors with a 114-111 victory with the help of their far-reaching point guard Brandon Jennings, who also happened to land himself a $15,000 fine for misbehavior and bawdy gesture against the Raptors.

The Pistons have been looking very impressive, winning nine out of 10 games under Jennings’ almost-leadership-in-disguise. He is turning out to be quite a pivotal asset. His 34 points and 10 assists helped the team win.

Many expected Van Gundy to take on (Josh) Smith as his pet project and unlock Smith's potential into efficiency, while Jennings was essentially treated as an afterthought — a "most likely" candidate to be traded. But Jennings has become the efficient star recently, carrying the Pistons on his skinny, 175-pound frame,” Vincent Goodwill Jr. of The Detroit News has said about Jennings in his latest article.

Reports have said that the offensive action for which Jennings has been fined for occurred with two minutes and 58 seconds remaining in the game. Jennings made a three-pointer, but neither the Pistons’ nor Raptors’ telecasts showed an obscene gesture to go with it. Apparently this gesture was below the waist and went unnoticed by most of the media. So obviously the fact that Jennings mimicked the Sam Cassell dance was the green signal to award him with a $15k fine. His fans have shown their dissatisfaction considering that it wasn’t personal and purposely intended to slur anybody. But there is no denial that this is most certainly the only wrong move by the Piston’s jersey number 7 in the past three weeks.

All in all, none of this really tarnishes his need-for-speed game which definitely is at its tipping point. Jennings’ alertness and thirst to lead the Detroit Pistons to glory on the court surely is making him a crackerjack.
